Reminder: We are closed July 22nd-July 30th! See you back on July 31st! Everyone needs a little break and this week is that for many folks and actually includes the staff at Waveriders getting to enjoy a week off during the crazy busy summer season. Don’t be surprised if you see our Waveriders crew in the ‘wild’ instead of serving up food and drinks. They love visiting other great local spots! See you soon!

Owning a small business is fun, fulfilling, easy and hard. You choose to open your doors and life to anyone willing to give us a chance. It can be to offer a service, provide goods, provide food, a place to gather, or so many other offerings. We are not a chain, a franchise, or anything other than 2 people who wanted to bring something to a community we lived in and be there for others, like so many other small businesses do and have all along in the Outer Banks.

You become friends with many customers. You see people multiple times a week, a month, or the same week every year. You hire lots of folks that become the face to your business, become friends and your work family. Some come and go quickly, some stay for a season, some come back every year and some stay for years.

Many times business owners give of personal time to be sure to do what feels best for those visiting the business. We are only in business because of the customers who choose to visit us and we are forever grateful for this every visit.

Please understand when we choose to close for a day, a few days or a week, we feel a little guilty. Guilty because we will miss those visitors that are in town for only the week we are closed. Guilty because it’s because of the you, the customers we are offered the opportunity to close and feel comfortable that you will return and not be upset that we closed, but understand why we need to from time to time.

That time is here. We will be open tomorrow, Monday July 21st and then we will be closed July 22nd-July 30th. It is 9 days, but in reality it is just 5 of our usual business days. A past employee, Lizaveta Maryskina that has been in our life for over 6 years graduates US Coast Guard Boot Camp and we want to be there to celebrate with her. This requires travel and time away. Instead of rushing, we are going to enjoy a little time off in the middle of summer, and allow our team to relax, enjoy the OBX like all of the visitors do in the middle of summer.

Please pardon our absence and we sure hope it makes the heart/stomach grow fonder :)

We love what we do! We also love taking a little break just like everyone else. This past Thursday-Sunday was a hustle. If you have never worked in food service or in a vacation town, you may not appreciate how are folks work. We call it the Waveriders workout program for a reason 🤪 If you do/or have, you know!

Or you may have just watched us in action….its crazy at times!

Thanks for the continued support. We are grateful and thankful.

Help us share a little love to our team! Comment or let them know you notice them!!

They all busted their butts today and it was a record day! Wow!! Thanks for all the orders, all the kind folks and appreciating how hard everyone works to get the/your food and drinks out as fast as we/they possibly can.

We/You broke last year’s record on July 5th, 2024. We knew it may happen, and it did! From the kitchen to the front end our team gave their all for every order. There were probably some mistakes and we are sorry if you got one.
