A classic, cool-climate pinot noir from fog and windswept region of Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, represents a partnership between two juggernauts in the business, Sara Floyd MS and Jeff Pisoni at Pisoni Family Vineyards. This 2019 single vineyard offering is just 105 case production, hand sorted, small lots, native fermentation and unfiltered, unfiltered.

The Lemoravo vineyard is named in tribute to the region's former crops that once grown on site: Lemon + Oranges + Avocados.

Ruby color, red fruits, spices, velvety tannins and of course the natural acidity attributed to the region's fog and winds from Monterey Bay.

Ah, Gevrey-Chambertin. Affectionately regarded as king of Burgundy, one can find Burgundy's most full bodied and structured pinot noir that can age for decades.

GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN 1ER CRU LES CHAMPEAUX DENIS MORTET (DOMAINE) 2006

Sadly Denis Mortet took his life with a rifle in 2006. His son, daughter and wife has carried on the legacy ever since and have been producing finest and elegant pinot noir of Burgundy.

Tasting note:

Bouquet of ripe cherries, licorice, blackberry, cinnamon and smoke. Satin-like texture, elegance, and tension. Mineral finish.

1994 Josef Leitz Riesling Rheingau Auslese Prädikatswein

A single vineyard offering from Rudesheim am Rhein, which is a town of Rhine Valley, an iconic region known for Riesling.

Imported by Terry Theise Estate Selection. (Pro tip- Look for reputable importer such as this one for a safe bet when choosing German riesling).

10% Alc.

Attractive. May be past drinking window though. Showed its class with prized petrol and honey. Hint of ginger. Layered.

Enjoyed tasting 2010 Trimbach Riesling with concentration, density, intense nose of orchard fruits and full body on the palate. Bright yet mineral driven. Energetic? Yes! Who else has a soft heart for Riesling?
