Many modern pet collars labeled as waterproof are actually made from coated webbing where a polyurethane or PVC layer bonds to nylon or polyester; collars using bonded webbing with a continuous coating prevent capillary wicking at stitched holes, so they stay dry, resist odor, and avoid inner degradation far better than simple surface-coated fabrics that can delaminate over time.

At The Hocking Hills Store we choose bonded, coated webbing collars to ensure true water resistance and long-term durability.
