This weekend the Old City Summer Tasting Series continues ☀️ 🥃

It's Corks x Alchemy Lounge + Cigar, our neighbors across the street, as we spotlight Chemist Spirits, a spirits producer out of Asheville, our neighbors across the mountains 🏔️

We're featuring Chemist's American single malt whiskey (yes, it has notes of to***co 😉) and a selection of their gins. Stop in either day this weekend for the featured tasting!

This week's inspo for our 🌞 Summer Tasting Series is the Old City's King of Corn - Good Golly Tamale 🌽

We're featuring some Unico Zelo | Australian Wine wines, like this Jungle Jungle, and suggesting each wine's spirit tamale so you can take a bottle home along with tamale takeout for your own successful pairing 🫔 🍷

Then we're turning up the heat 🔥 Saturday with a trio of Mexican spirits by ABASOLO | El Whisky de México, like their whisky 🥃 made from ancient 🌽 grains. We'll also have a Sotol for those curious what exists outside of Tequila and Mezcal, and we can finish the tasting with a little something sweet 😉

🌞 Summer Tasting Series in the Old City continues with a big collab: Corks Wine & Spirits X Fin-Two Japanese Ale House X Two Bikes - affectionately dubbed Fin Two Bikes!

Friday is kicking it off with some beers from local favorite Crafty Bastard Brewery. The boys at Two Bikes love a good beer after a long day/long 🚲 ride, and Crafty is bringing the refreshment. Taste this beer trio Friday evening and pick up a pack to enjoy all weekend

Saturday is for sake when we celebrate our buddies at Fin Two. Drunken Whale makes this hit of a sake that pairs with apps or big bowls of ramen 🍜

Our Old City ☀️ Summer ☀️ Tasting Series continues this week with our most helpful 😴 neighbor across the street - Old City Java ☕

We're kicking this tasting off with two wines from Argentinian winemaker Luna Duna. Their skin-contact Naranjo 🍊 features delightful citrus notes and also jasmine tea. We will also have their Tinto on hand, with yummy strawberry and floral notes. Both are so juicy and vibrant!

Saturday we're welcoming our besties at Fiyori Vodka back to the store with everyone's staple weekend cocktail - the espresso martini. It's uplifting in all the right ways.

This week's inspiration in our Old City Summer Tasting Series is Tesoro Gelato Knox 🍨

In the Corks x Tesoro tasting, we're bringing the summertime refreshment with a dry and delicious Prosecco Rosé and sweet and fruity sparkling Brachetto.
Then we're flipping you on your head Saturday 🙃 with two incredible Italian reds - yes, reds - from our beloved winemaker Emilio Bulfon. These reds are light, dry, and easy to drink even in summer heat ☀️

This tasting is all Italian and all flavor

We're continuing our weekly Old City-inspired summer series 🌞 of tastings with our neighbor Southern Grit in mind!

People think of sparkling wine as being so fancy, but a dry, bubbly wine like this Franciacorta cuts through the fatty and crispy skin of fried chicken and its heavy side dishes perfectly! Not to mention the yeast and bread flavors pair harmoniously with that biscuit 🤤 This is the peak Friday takeout combo

Another perfect pairing with a big meal is a light and lemony 🍋 vodka cocktail, like the one we'll have on Saturday featuring Fiyori Vodka. The silky mouthfeel of Fiyori with the lightness of lemon is just what you want on a sunny day to sip on between biscuits

Omg - maybe we're just obsessed with biscuits 🤔 Southern Grit, help a neighbor out! 😭
