Bodegas de Santo Tomás is the oldest w**ery in Baja California. Dominican Friars planted the first grapevines in 1791 at the Misión de Santo Tomás de Aquino. Sacramental w**e was the main product produced from these early vines for religious use. Francisco Andonegui (an Italian native) and Miguel Ormart (a Spaniard) bought and turned the land into a full-time commercial w**ery in 1888. We’ve got some plans in store for The Merchant, so we are hiring! The ideal candidate loves to work in hospitality, a people person, and be somewhat knowledgeable about w**e, spirits, and cocktails (not required but helpful). Responsibilities include bar back duties (running, washing, cleaning up, making sure supplies and inventory is stocked and ready), serving and private events assistance. Quick learners who work well in fast paced environments when needed. Training will be provided. Please email our chief merchant at [email protected] with your interest and qualifications.
