October is almost over, and we have just ONE MORE WEEK to make a difference for The Gospel of Life Disciples (GOLD)!

We were truly inspired by GOLD’s beautiful mission of providing homes and loving care for elders, free of charge. We’re honored to support an organization that helps ensure our elders can live with dignity, love, and a place to call home.

Now we’re asking our amazing customers and community to help us finish strong! Every donation, no matter the size, helps support this incredible mission. Thanks all!

Last week, we made a $200.00 donation to Light Christian Academy, a scholarship-supported Christian school in Northeast Oklahoma City dedicated to helping children grow in faith, confidence, and academic excellence.

Through generous donations and grant funding, Light Christian Academy provides children with a safe, loving environment where they are seen, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. With small classes, strong academics, prayer, and joyful encouragement, they support the whole child.

Students can receive tuition scholarships, school supplies, backpacks, uniforms, books, meals, snacks, and so much more; helping families focus on what matters most, their child’s future.

We’re grateful for organizations like Light Christian School for bettering the lives of local children, and also grateful for our awesome customers who help make all this change happen!

We made a $200.00 donation to the Edmond Historic Preservation Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Edmond’s historic 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse.

Built just months after the Land Run, this little schoolhouse is a remarkable piece of Edmond’s history and a reminder of the community spirit that helped shape our town. Thanks to the dedication of those who work to preserve it, future generations can continue to learn about and experience Edmond’s beginnings.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that keeps our local history alive. Thank you to the Edmond Historic Preservation Trust, and to Mark’s customers!!

Celebrating 60 Years by Giving Back!

Throughout the entire month of October, Marks Short Stop will be using customer donations to support The Gospel of Life Disciples (GOLD), an organization that Mark and Carol have had the opportunity to learn more about and become connected.

The Gospel of Life Disciples provide spiritual dwellings where elders can live and receive care at no cost; a truly meaningful mission that offers dignity, community, and support to those who need it.

As we celebrate Carol’s 60th birthday, we thought there would be no better way to celebrate than by giving back to a cause that has touched her heart.

We are incredibly grateful for our customers and our community who make it possible for us to support organizations doing meaningful work like this. Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a difference.

We are profoundly sad about this news. Donations go to the family of one of our staff. Please join us in praying for their family, and helping in ways that we all can.
