Welcome to LouElla Wine, Beer & Beverage, Downtown Durham’s neighborhood bottle shop, bar, and event space offering a curated wine list and fortified selections from family-operated producers. We are proudly named after our owner’s Great Aunt LouElla, who exhibited warmth, hospitality, and a generous spirit. Today, we carry on her legacy, welcoming every guest with open arms and a full glass. Our wine bar in Durham, NC, offers a hand-chosen selection of curated wine, craft beer, refreshing ciders, and much more. We regularly host wine tasting events in our modern, relaxing space, and you won’t find our unique selections anywhere else.

More specifically, the Douro Valley! Known for its dramatic terraced vineyards, centuries of w**emaking history, and some seriously delicious w**es.

This Saturday, we’re welcoming Mike Ruocco of Monsieur Touton to take us through four w**es from the Douro, featuring selections from Quinta do Crasto and ZOM.

From refreshing rosé to rich, expressive reds, there’s plenty to explore beyond the region’s famous Port w**es.

We’re welcoming Betsy Reed of Bethel Heights Vineyard to LouElla next Wednesday, October 28, for a special evening pop-up!

Located in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, Bethel Heights has been producing beautiful, expressive w**es for decades, and we’re excited to share a few of them with you.

We’ll be exploring five w**es from their lineup, including Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and a selection of their estate Pinot Noirs.

Come hang out, taste some Oregon w**e, and get to know a little more about what makes this corner of the Willamette Valley so special.

Join us Wednesday, October 14, from 6:30–8:30 PM for a special pop-up tasting exploring Austrian sparkling w**es, from Grüner Veltliner bubbles to traditional-method rosé, Blanc de Pinot Noir, and more.
