One of my favorite summer reds!! Nicosia Frappato is a light-bodied, fruity red wine made from the Frappato grape, which is indigenous to Sicily. The Nicosia winery produces a Frappato called “Sabbie di Sutta” from vineyards in the Vittoria region of Sicily, known for this grape. It’s characterized by bright red fruit flavors (strawberry, raspberry), floral notes, and a refreshing acidity. It should be served at 55-59 degrees. $18.99

Cachaça (pronounced “ka-SHAH-sa”) is Brazil’s national spirit, a distilled liquor made from fermented sugarcane juice and is the prime ingredient in Brazil’s famous cocktail the Caipirinha. Recipe below.

Ingredients
1 lime, cut into wedges
2 teaspoons sugar
2 ounces cachaça
Garnish: lime wheel

Steps
In a double rocks glass, muddle the lime wedges and sugar.

Fill the glass with ice, add the cachaça, and stir briefly.

Garnish with a lime wheel
