Rather than create the brand by producing or sourcing finished tequila, Pablo Lara began this project by spending years producing the raw ingredient: agave. Pablo’s business partner, Cesar, is a talented and accomplished student of sustainability, botany, and tequila, and manages their agave farming practices. Together, Pablo and Cesar invested in farming organically for Santanera with care, growing their own agave using sustainable methods. They are engaging with various certifying processes, with Kosher certification as the starting point for the core line. Out of love and respect

cals, allowing each batch to express its
natural variations in aroma and flavor.
