Just a reminder. Just because you love your non-service dogs like one of your own children, that doesn’t mean you get to bring them in the lounge or wherever you think is appropriate.
Service Animals Welcome - In The Lounge YES, In The Humidor NO
We welcome service animals as defined by the ADA - dogs trained to perform a specific task directly related to a person's disability - inside the main lounge, retail area, and restrooms.
Emotional support, comfort, and therapy animals are not service animals under the ADA and are not permitted inside.
Per federal law, staff may only ask:
1. Is the animal required because of a disability?
2. What task has it been trained to perform?
We will not ask about your disability or require documentation.
Health, Product Integrity & Why Non-Service Animals / Pets Are Not Allowed Inside
Our lounge is a retail to***co store with a beverage program. For health reasons, we must protect two consumable products:
1. Unwrapped ci**rs are a consumable to***co product intended for human consumption. They absorb odors, dander, hair, and moisture, which can adulterate the product, introduce mold, and compromise the humidor's climate control.
2. Beverage service makes us a Food Establishment under Arizona law. Under the FDA Food Code, live animals are prohibited on the premises of a food establishment except for ADA service animals.
Control & Safety
All animals must be leashed, harnessed, tethered, under effective voice/signal control at all times, and kept close to the handler to prevent tripping, disruption, and allergen exposure. Staff may require an animal to be removed if it is out of control, not housebroken, or poses a direct threat.
Humidor Restriction - No Animals Inside, Including Service Animals
Service animals are welcome in the lounge but cannot enter the walk-in humidor due to direct threat to product integrity, health, and safety. The humidor is a closed climate-controlled storage area for unwrapped consumable product where animal hair, dander, and allergens would fundamentally alter the product and facility.
Staff will gladly retrieve ci**rs for you and provide full service outside the humidor. This is a reasonable accommodation under the ADA.
Non-Service Animals
Pets, emotional support, therapy, and comfort animals are not permitted inside the lounge. This includes all retail, lounge, and restroom areas.
Patio Exception
Leashed, controlled, and non-disruptive non-service animals may be allowed on the outdoor patio only, subject to Maricopa County Dog Friendly Patio requirements. Owners are fully responsible for behavior, leashing, and clean-up. We may refuse or remove any animal that barks excessively, shows aggression, or disturbs guests.
