It's finally here, or at least in our own shop: the Bramley Mountain fire tower patch. It's our seventh such souvenir to help satisfy the DEC's Catskill Mountain Fire Tower Challenge. It's not yet available in any of our retail outlets just yet. Hopefully that soon will change. If you've enjoyed visiting or plan to hike up Bramley Mountain anytime soon you should definitely ask for it when you visit any of our shops that currently feature our Catskill Climbs keepsakes. One of our goals for Catskill Climbs Collectable Hiking Patches is to specifically create patches for those hikes identified in the DEC's Catskill Mountain Fire Tower Challenge. We're nearing completion of that entire set. My question to all of our followers here is what other popular Catskill hikes would you like to see us capture in our growing series of souvenir patches? Currently we have created a total of 14 such patches. Two more are already planned, Bramley Mountain and the Upper Esopus Fire Tower at the Maurice Hinchey Visitor Center. What other Catskill summits would you like to have a keepsake from?

OK! I waited quite awhile and the seemingly secret name for those of us who love and collect patches seems to remain a mystery to all of our friends here on Catskill Climbs.

I just learned something and wondered if any other patch collectors might know this. My question to all of you: Do you know the term for the hobby of collecting patches? No looking it up. I certainly didn't know there was such a term until last night. I was informed of it by my amazing daughter who helped me launch this little venture of mine a little over two years ago and continues to help me every step of the way.

For all you Catskill Mountain fire tower fans we hope you're as excited as we are about the fact that Catskill Climbs is about to release our newest additions to celebrate two more fire tower mountains in the Catskills. It's all just part of our ongoing quest to produce patches for every one of those mountains needed to satisfy the summit requirements for the DEC's Catskill Mountain Fire Tower Challenge. Our latest souvenirs are for Red Hill and Mount Utsayantha. They're not yet available in too many shops. Please let your local supplier know that you're interested in either of these two, or any of the other four such collectable fire tower patches: Hunter Mountain, Mount Tremper, Overlook Mountain or Balsam Lake Mountain. We greatly appreciate your enthusiasm and support for this little enterprise of ours.
