Mortellito Calaiancu Vino Bianco
This striking white is a blend of Grillo and Catarratto, two cornerstone Sicilian varieties. The name “Calaiancu” means “white rock” in local dialect, referencing the chalky limestone soils that define Mortellito’s vineyards.

In the glass, Calaiancu offers a salty, lemony nose with touches of fennel, wildflowers, and crushed seashells. It’s a white that feels like a walk along the Sicilian coast, briny, crisp, and full of life, with a texture that lingers without heaviness. There’s no oak, just bright expression of site and grape.

Our wine classes are designed to make you feel confident, curious, and inspired. Whether you’re just starting to explore wine or deep into your journey, each session is guided by Melissa Winkler, a certified sommelier with a passion for storytelling and education.

We dive deep into regions, producers, and techniques, with a rotating focus that includes volcanic wines, Champagne, the Rhône Valley, and more. Tastings are structured but never stuffy, and the goal is simple: to help you discover what you love and why.
