We’re so excited about this one!
It’s called the CAO Amazon Basin Dagger, and measures just 4 inches long with a 38 ring gauge, essentially a half-lancero. The blend remains the same as the 6 x 52 toro that debuted in August 2014, with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and Brazil, the latter of which is a type of to***co called Bragança that is grown in the Amazon rainforest. The to***co is grown organically on what STG describes as “unspoiled tropical land,” then handrolled into tubes called carottes that get fermented under high pressure. They are then transported out of the rainforest by canoe.

Plasencia’s newly released Alma Del Cielo cigar is here!
The new line’s name means “Soul of Heaven” in Spanish, and for good reason: some of the to***co used in the blend was grown on a farm in the Condega region that is approximately 3,500 feet above sea level. That farm—which is named Finca San Julián—was owned by Melalina Torres, Nestor Andrés Plasencia’s grandmother, but it was sold in 1961. According to the company, the combination of colder temperatures and higher elevation gives the to***co a unique flavor profile.
