Le Vigne often holds wine or whisky dinners or events at selected restaurants when wine or whisky personalities visit Singapore. We do wine & whisky trainings for the F&B industry in Singapore and Malaysia as well as consult for restaurants on wine & food pairings and help select whiskies for their menus.Le Vigne also conducts wine & whisky talks for private and corporate events. Why does Le Vigne Wines & Whiskies not supply wines on a consignment basis. Wines are very delicate by nature and we take every possible care to prevent spoilage. When wines are sold on consignment and then returned, merchants can no longer guarantee their quality as it is not possible to identify heat damaged or oxidised wines until the bottles are opened. We humbly seek your understanding of our policy of not offering wines on consignment as we strive to avoid any embarrassment from serving spoilt wines to your guests.

PSA 📣- long post cos it was such a fab tasting!!

Oh, what an evening! Swirling, sipping and listening to James Lindner, family proprietor & Director of Langmeil Winery as he regaled us with anecdotes of life in the Barossa.

Friends of Le Vigne tasted a selection of Old Vines wines at our Langmeil Wine Tasting 🍷 event held at The Exciseman. The line-up included the Fifth Wave Grenache, an often-overlooked variety 🍇 and this wine is from Langmeil’s vineyard planted in 1973.
Followed by the Jackaman’s Cabernet Sauvignon which was planted in the 1960s by ex-WW2 paratrooper, boxer and butcher who entrusted his small plot to Langmeil after his retirement 🤩.

We especially loved the “adopt a vine” stories behind our best-selling Orphan’s Bank Shiraz, made from pre-1860s plantings and re-homed on Langmeil’s property after 150 years! James then introduced the Pure Eden Shiraz, made from a single site vineyard in the Eden Valley planted in the 1890s and acquired by Langmeil.

Finally, we had the rare opportunity to taste 2 vintages of the Langmeil ‘Freedom 1843’ Shiraz - the 2015 and 2021, made from original 1843 plantings which still survive and are some of the oldest and rarest vines in the world. In fact, these are believed to be THE OLDEST surviving Shiraz vines in the world! 🍇 🍷

The wines, the stories, the company... everything was just incredible! Thank you James, for sharing your family’s passion and call to preserve, promote and protect the best of the Barossa. And we won’t tell your brother Paul, how you’ve been singing the praises of his winemaking talent 😉 😜 👏🏼

Whirlwind trip to Prowein Düsseldorf where we caught up with existing wineries that we represent, and made new friends 😊

🇩🇪 hosted a group from Asia and we visited wineries in Mosel and Rheinhessen, learning so much about Riesling (of course!) and other varietals like Cabernet Blanc, Muller Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Wurzer, etc and their varied styles.
