Picking up the pace on the Chinese wine tasting 🇨🇳 🍷 and trying a Marselan (cross of Cab and Grenache); the first was aged 4 months in oak and reminded me a little of Valpolicella, but the Riserva with its 18 months of oak ageing was quite unique! Hard to compare to other wines 🤔

Mmmmm 😋 Chinese wine hit #2 = Pinot Noir from Ningxia 🇨🇳 🍇 🍷 Pretty nose, nice red fruit with some forest floor - surprisingly ‘old wine’ in style 🥰

Absolutely gorgeous Piemonte white - the ‘grand cru’ Roero Arneis Riserva by Monchiero Carbone (led by family winemaker and president of Roero Consortium), Renesio Incisa - named for the special hill where these premium grapes are hand picked, which has the added reputation of being this high-quality vine’s home: the Renesio hill 🤩

Gorgeous lineup for a tasting today! 😋 Some incredible wines that represent absolute classics from Italian regions Veneto, Piedmont & Sicily! 🍇🍷🇮🇹🥰

Look closely at the ‘grand cru’ ROERO Riservas and you’ll see the indigo talk bottle numbers for these small-production labels 🤩🙏🏻
