🐍 The Tequila Experiment . 🥃

Tommy sat down very seriously in front of his son Johnny, who immediately knew a boring lectures was coming.

Tommy produced a tumbler , into which he dropped a worm then took filled the glass with Tequila. The worm quickly dissolved.

Tommy looked over at Johnny and asked , "So Son , What have you learnt from this experiment?”

Johnny, thought for a moment ............. “Well , Dad , I guess if you drink tequila you won’t have worms.” 😂😆😂

Well , we can't argue with that scientific conclusion , can we ?

🥃 Wh**ky Wednesday 🥃

🌟Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve 🌟

This wh**ky wednesday we're bringing a little taste of the Caribbean to the Speyside region with 'The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve', 40% ABV .
🏆Gold award winner of the 2024 International Spirit Challenge .

This Speyside single malt gets its deliciously tropical character from being finished in barrels that previously held Caribbean rum.
The result , a well balanced and wonderfully smooth single malt wh**ky with a touch of tropical sweetness layered over the classic Speyside style.

Nose : Sweet Pear , red apple & ripe banana in syrup
Palate: Rich caramel toffee , mandarin orange , vanilla and Honeydew melon.
Finish: Citrusy , smooth and relatively short.

Perfectly enjoyed neat, but this one is also crying out to be mixed into a cocktail or two .
Try it in a Caribbean Cooler.

50 ml Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve
25ml Pineapple Juice ,
2 dashes of Angostura Bitters and Peach Sparkling Water.

Method :
Fill a glass with Ice add the Glenlivet , pineapple Juice and Bitters . Give it a good stir and then top with Peach Sparkling Water and there you have it ..... a little Caribbean sunshine in a glass 🍹

Absolut blueberry fizz

Ingredients
45 ml Absolut Vodka
30 ml Blue Curaçao
15 ml Lime Juice
10 ml Simple Syrup
1 Wedge Lemon
2 Blueberries
Ice Cubes

How to Mix
Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
Use a jigger to measure and add 45 ml Absolut Vodka into the glass.
Cut a lime in half and then juice the limes halves using a citrus press or citrus elbow.
Use the jigger again to measure and add 15 ml lime juice into the glass.
Pour in 10 ml of simple syrup.
Stir using a stirrer or bar spoon, then measure and add 30 ml blue curaçao.
Garnish with a couple of blueberries.
Cut a lemon in half, then slice a wedge to finish off your drink.

I'm never drinking again!!!!🥺

Haven't we all said it , usually after an enthusiastic consumption of alcohol but it's funny how easily it gets forgotten when you walk past the w**e shop ...."Oh look W**e !" and suddenly yesterday's promises are all forgotten. 😉🥳😁

Never say never when there's a good bottle of w**e involved, that's what I say 🍾🍷.

If you like your w**e light bodied , fruity , sweet and easy drinking, this w**e could be right up your street. It's vibrant pink colour, fresh and fruity where the Watermelon takes centre stage with a wee kick from the kiwi
It’s refreshing, intensely fruity and not overly tangy , perfect for picnics, sitting relaxing in the garden or simply making memories with your friends.

Enjoy it on it's own or pair it with a salads, fresh fruit or soft cheeses .

But here' s the BIG question ........

🥃🥃🥃 Wh**ky Wednesday 🥃🥃🥃

Today's spotlight is on three limited edition Wolfburn Small batch releases that we are lucky enough to still have in stock.

Batch 270 :Released in March 2018 . It is the 2nd of the small batch releases . Unpeated , Non chill filtered , natural colour aged in half size barrels , first fill ex Bourbon .
Sweet Butterscotch gives way to warm malt mixed with honey and a hint of demerara sugar to finish. Limited to 6000. 46% ABV.

Batch 375: Released in March 2019 . It is the 3rd of the small batch releases. Unpeated malt matured in a mix of 100-litre first-fill bourbon casks and second-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads.
The depth of flavour is huge -Sultanas and coffee mixed with cream and caramel , overtones of Ginger & oak with a long lingering finish of caramel and dried fruits that endures long after the dram is gone . Limited to 5,500 bottles. 46%ABV.

Batch 416: Released in April 2026 . Is the first age-stated expression in this series, a 10-year-old single malt matured entirely in first fill ruby port pipes producing a wh**ky of unusual depth and richness.
Beautiful vinous flavours are enhanced by caramel and vanilla with overtones of oak smoke , dates and figs .
The caramel and dried fruits overlaid with port notes remain to the end giving this an exceptional finish Limited to 3,900 bottles. 46% ABV .

These are limited edition releases and once they're gone they're gone.

So why not pop into Binends and discover a piece of Wolfburn Distillery's history before it's too late .

Sarti Spritz Cocktail recipe that looks divine 🍹😋

Ingredients you will need are:

9cl of Prosecco
6cl os Sarti Rosa
3cl Soda

All you need to do is fill a large w**e glass with ice.
Add the 3 parts of Prosecco, followed by 2 parts of Sarti Rosa then a splash of soda.
Give it a quick stir and garnish with a lime slice.

And Enjoy!

So to wind down after a hard week what is better than a good bottle of w**e 🍾 .

Wh**ky Wednesday at Binends brings from 8 doors distillery an exciting new range of small batch , single cask bottling's while they wait for their Single Malt to mature. 'Seven Sons', is inspired by the tale of Jan de ’Groots and his seven sons.

Featured drams include :

The 10 yr old Secret Highland single malt , matured in a 1st fill Oloroso Butt.
No chill filtration. Natural colour.
NOSE - Autumnal fruit, cooking chocolate, leather, milky coffee and creme brulee.
PALATE - Fruit and nut chocolate, chicory, walnut and trifle sponge.
FINISH - Medium to long, dry with a sherried sweetness and light oak spice.

The 12 yr old Royal Brackla single malt from Royal Brackla Distillery is matured for over 10 years in a refill Bourbon Hogshead then finished in American Oak, Amontillado Hogshead Cask for over 18 mths. No chill filtration. Natural colour.
NOSE - Sweet almond, vanilla sponge, orange syrup, banana bread, ginger and honey.
PALATE - Sweet white grape, orange peel, butterscotch, golden raisin, ginger and cinnamon spice.
FINISH - Long with the Amontillado finish providing strong herbal notes towards the end.

and finally we have The 19 yr old Tullibardine single malt. No chill filtration. Natural colour. This release is an extremely limited bottling from Tullibardine Distillery. Fully matured in a 1st Fill Bourbon barrel.

NOSE - Summer fruit salad, leaning into mango, peaches and apricot with greek yoghurt and white chocolate.
PALATE - Ripe papaya, blossom honey, light citrus, barley sugar, spearmint and stonefruit syrup.
FINISH - Long with the tropical and stone fruit lingering with ginger.

We also still have a few releases that are now Sold Out at the Distillery so if your looking for a particular one, it's well worth dropping in for a look, you never know we may have the one you are looking for.
