Today's offering in Whisky Wednesday is from the Bunnahabhain distillery in the Isle of Islay .

⭐⭐⭐Bunnahabhain 30 yr old single malt⭐⭐⭐

This 30 yr old Islay beauty (46.3% ABV) is one of the oldest single malts in their core range, matured exclusively in ex-sherry casks .

This light delicate spirit is all thanks to it's tall Pear-shaped stills .

Aromas of butterscotch, beeswax and sweet sherry flourish on the nose.
On the palate strawberries and cream come to the fore, a true indulgence developing into honey nut cereals and rich toffee.
Finishing with a gentle taste of stewed berries and ginger, with a prolonged combination of spiced oak and salted caramel.

It has been widely praised for its rich, complex, and oily profile, frequently scoring high in expert reviews describing it as a crescendo of flavour which starts low key but opens up significantly over time. It is hailed as a fantastic,intense, and balanced" dram.

Non-chill filtered , with no added colour, this is a rich ,sweet unpeated dram unlike other distilleries on Islay,

Since 1983 this exquisite 33 years old , Old Pulteney single malt has been quietly maturing . First in American Oak Ex Bourbon casks then in Spanish Olorosso butts and kissed by the Caithness coastal air .
The result, an exquisite robust full bodied dram with an elegant balance.

It is deep Copper in colour, with an aroma of stewed fruit and toffee and spicy vanilla . Sweet , savoury and beautifully balanced with a luxurious finish that is long and elegant that you will savour long after the last sip.

Whispering Angel Cotes De Provence is an elegant and luxurious, world class rosé from Southern France.

Created by Sacha Lichine following his acquisition of Château d’Esclans in 2006, Whispering Angel uses a blend of 3 grapes from the La Motte En Provence. It is principally made using Grenache, Cinsault and Vermentino grapes which are harvested from sunrise until noon .

Whispering Angel is bright yet pale, aromatic with a fine floral and fruity character of lavender, raspberry and cherry.
Medium bodied, delightfully fresh with tart berries and cream and a delicate spicy minerality on the palate with a long ,dry, crisp, gently acidic finish.
