This might seem like locking the stable door after the horse has bolted, but if any of you struggled to contain your bin contents in the wind over the last couple of days, you might be interested in these bin hooks. Supplied by Seafarers Memorial Group and costing just £5, all monies go towards the Seafarers Memorial Fund. We have plenty available and, now the wind has dropped, it might be the time to prepare for the next storm. As sure as eggs are eggs, you know there will be another one!

Hope you are all ok in this stormy weather. If you need to get to a bank machine and don't fancy standing in the rain and gusty wind, remember you can take a cash withdrawal from most banks over our counter, there is no fee, we do not see any of your bank details and you'll be in the warm and dry! Likewise, if you bank with Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Nationwide or Monzo you can deposit cash over our counter. Normally it's a maximum of £300 a day; just get your banking app to generate a bar code for us to scan or use your debit card. You can pay most bills through us too; bring the bill with the barcode on it and you can pay with cash or card. There are no fees and you don't have to buy anything from us.

We are pleased to let you know we have a supply of poppies for the annual Poppy Appeal. Behind every Poppy is a veteran or service family in need of your support, please help if you can. Not only do we have paper poppies, available for any donation you can manage, we have a few pins/badges too. Prices of these are in the comments of each photo and are what you would pay to buy directly from Poppy Scotland.

We know we've not had Halloween 👻 or Bonfire Night 🎆
or Fun Day ☂ or end of term 👨🏻‍🏫 , we know the clocks have not gone back ⏰ but we need to mention something. You won't 🙄 when you see what we need to tell you. You might be pleased 🙂 that we are mentioning . . . . . . . Christmas 🎅🏻 . There is a reason for this! We have received our last Capaldis delivery for this season and there will not be another one before Christmas. If you normally buy their tubs for the festive season, please buy early to avoid disappointment; payment will have to be upfront please. We are happy to store your purchases in our freezers for you to collect nearer the time and that will be one thing ticked off your to do list. Just pop in to buy the tubs you want and we will bag them up with your contact details so we know they are yours and store them safely until 🎄
