Dear Delivery customer

The Daily Mail, I Paper & Daily Mirror have missed the rounds this morning and SmithsNews will be bringing them to
Swanage (hopefully) around 11.

If this is the case, our delivery team will bring the papers to you on a second run. If the papers arrive later than 11 - unfortunately we will not be delivering.

Thank you as ever, for your patience & we apologize deeply for this.

Update: the rest of today's papers have finally arrived from Smith's News, 8 hours late. If you would like us to save you one before closing time at 6pm today or if you would like it delivered tomorrow, please let us know. We ask for patience with our very busy phone today

Smith's News Southampton have let Swanage down for Saturday newspapers in style today I'm afraid.

We have for the past few months been experiencing LATE Saturday (only) deliveries from them (having a knock on effect of up to 2 hours to deliver out /provide to you). I have complained on numerous occasions, left a trustpilot review etc etc but the usual excuses (if they bother responding) are late connections, less trucks delivering, roadworks etc. bla bla.

Today the town are missing the following:

Daily Mail
Daily Express
I paper
Financial Times

Also the Times have major parts missing.

A problem with 300 papers for us, and other providers in town will be experiencing the same.

For us at Swanage News, this means our fantastic news delivery team are only delivering a fraction of the 300 papers that should be making their way to you this morning.

They said the newspapers will arrive in Swanage on a second run sometime between 11-12 today but our deliverers will not be doing a second run sadly. (UPDATE: They still haven't come as of 1.30pm!!)

Please leave us an answer phone message if you wish us to save a paper for you in store. Please be patient with us as our phone will be incredibly busy.

Thank you for your continued support and for supporting the people like us, that do still care about the News trade.

Kind regards

Vicky
& the morning team

The Daily Telegraph is due to arrive in town at around 10am this morning. This is due to the paper missing the cut off time for the printing warehouse and will thus have a late re-run. If you have a delivery with us and would like it delivered tomorrow, please leave a message on our answer machine. If not, you are welcome to collect the paper in store or have your account credited.

We apologise for the kerfuffle. The whole town's paper supply will be affected by the same delay.
