Hello June! 😎 The days are getting longer, the sun is (hopefully) making more of an appearance, and we’ve got the perfect bottle to match the shift into summer.

Meet Val do Galir Godello: a beautifully expressive white from Spain’s Valdeorras region, made from the native Godello grape. It's fresh and vibrant with notes of ripe pear, citrus zest and white peach. A subtle creamy texture is balanced by crisp minerality, giving it a clean, elegant finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Perfect with grilled seafood, asparagus risotto, or a simple summer salad with lemon dressing. Val do Galir Godello is also brilliant alongside light tapas or roast chicken served cold for al fresco dining. Basically perfect with all dishes that shout summer!

Discover art, discover wine, discover local... 🍷 This year's Brentwood Connected Brentwood Art Trail starts tomorrow, and we're delighted to be taking part yet again. 🎨

The Tasting Room is home to The Connor Brothers' work, and will be available to view between 11am and 2pm daily. We are huge lovers of art, and you'll certainly see that this is the case when visiting us as part of the trail.

Furthermore, if you've never visited The Tasting Room before, why not pop in and see the space for yourself? It's a great place where we not only hold our own wine, spirit and cigar tasting events, but it is also available for hire for private events.

And if you're here, it could be a great opportunity to treat yourself to a bottle of something lovely in store at the same time! 😉🍷

Last week we featured a favourite rosé from our Annual Spring Wine Tasting, but what we didn't mention was that there was also a red which was particularly popular: Masseria Borgo dei Trulli Mirea Primitivo di Manduria, another Italian favourite. 🍷

This is a bold, opulent red that showcases the warmth and richness of the south of the country. Deep ruby in colour, it offers intense aromas of dried plum, figs and black cherry layered with notes of dark chocolate, sweet spice, vanilla and coffee.

This is a bold yet versatile wine that comes into its own during summer barbecues. It pairs beautifully with grilled steak, barbecued ribs, burgers, lamb skewers and rich tomato-based pasta dishes, while hard cheeses also complement its depth and spice. Slightly unusually, this red can be served slightly chilled, and offers a smooth, velvety style that makes it an excellent choice for warm evenings!
