If you missed our w**e tasting in October then don’t worry! We have a great evening event coming up with Nick from Halo W**es

We’re looking at a great selection of delicious autumnal w**es as we head into the wetter, darker months 🍷 We currently have three white and three reds on the list which we will accompany with a tasty little cheese selection 🧀

It always guarantees to be a friendly, fun evening and it gives you the chance to taste some w**es you may not have considered trying before!

The event is on Thursday 19th November and as ever we have a select number of tickets available. If you want to join us then drop us an email, give us a call or pop in store to chat to the team!

One for the Sake lovers! 🌾

Akashi-Thai is one of the UK’s most loved and enjoyed Sake producers. With the distillery founded over 150 years ago, and being situated on the shores of Osaka Bay, and using only the best quality rice available - there is a bit of a cult following for this fantastic Sake. And once tasted - it’s easy to see why!

There is a something to suit everyone, with some Sake being perfect for enjoying warm, some are still, others sparkling, and our best seller - the Plum Sake Liqueur!

Come in to pick up a bottle and see for yourself why this incredible spirit is such a firm favourite with so many!

🍂 🍷 Autumn Event - W**e Tasting With Alliance W**es! 🥂

⏰ Thursday 15th October - 18:30 arrival
📍 Johns W**es St Ives

This event will be hosted by the wonderful Fran, and includes tasting through a selection of 7 different w**es. Starting off with a glass of ch*****ne, then followed by some of our new additions to the range, and rounding off with a couple of firm favourites!

As always there will be plenty of history and backstory about the vineyards and w**es that they are producing and we encourage you to jump in and voice your opinions and get stuck in with any questions you may have.

A limited number of tickets are available so either pop in, email or call to secure your spot! 🎟️

It’s beginning to feel very autumnal 🍂 here at Johns! The shelves have been laden with new Oktoberfest Beers, and we’ve had a big delivery of new and exciting brandy! 🥃 Sam is busy behind the scenes developing recipes for new cocktails and our autumn events have just been released! 🥳

Our very own Sam & Sophie head off this morning on their honeymoon! After getting married 18 months ago, Sam has focused since on revamping the main shop, creating The Cabin, and introducing lots of new w**e lines to the range we have on offer. We hope they have a much deserved, amazing time! And no they’re not off to Gwithian, though the coastline looks similar! 🤣 They’re heading to Sava Dunes in Mozambique for whale watching, scuba diving and bird watching! 🦩 🇲🇿

In the meantime the shop and bar are open as normal and our fantastic team is on hand to provide the great service you’ve become accustomed to! We are looking forward to seeing you for the hustle and bustle of St Ives September Festival. Make sure you pop in to see our new b**rs, and ever changing w**e menu...

Tomorrow/Sunday 6th September we are closing Johns at an earlier time of 7pm. Our staff are having a well deserved meal out at the fantastic and sampling the smorgasbord of delicious food and wonderful cocktails on offer.

After working exceptionally hard all summer they definitely deserve it! If you need to pick anything up off our shelves then please pop in during the day ☀️
