Howay the Lasses for 2pm today thanks Anna Tamminen for popping by to visit the Powder Butterfly | UK Souvenirs & Homeware stall on the Quayside bright and early this morning.

I was totally star struck and in awe. I am loving at the moment and the work it’s doing for women’s football at the moment. If you haven’t watched it you should and I am very tempted to get myself to a match now!!

If I could clone myself I would be there at 2pm. I will be sending you all the good vibes as the lasses are playing Sunderland today.

Will definitely keep an eye on the results.

What a night at the Newcastle NE1 Newcastle’s Christmas social.

In preparation for the Newcastle Christmas Market the traders and suppliers were invited to Banyan UK at monument to find out who they would be trading with, phenomenal stats from last year and some of the plans for this years event.

It was great to see so many familiar faces but especially good to catch up with Cris Stewart from NEtoon Creative who I will be my market buddy again this year. Cris’ work is exceptional and a lot of fun and we work well together as a team. We have some exciting plans for this year market to showcase our work and I can’t wait to get into the practical planning stages for this event. We have already started but now it’s down to fine tuning our ideas.

It’s wonderful to know that 90% of the traders last year were local and the organisers are committed to showcasing local traders. Because let’s face it that is what makes markets like this unique to a city. And it’s what gets visitors from outside of the city spending their money at the market, local hotels and in hospitality venues.

I cannot wait to see some of my lovely loyal customers at the market and get to meet some new ones too.

I know it’s early but I can’t wait to inject a bit of sparkle into the rest of my year.

The little details make all the difference 🤍 📚✍🏼

These locally made notebooks and bookmarks are still amongst my most-loved creations: the Newcastle notebook, bookmark and the Bridges notebook and bookmark are chefs kiss.

What’s your favourite detail, the print, gold foil finish or perhaps it is all of the books you will read and the stories you will be inspired to write.

Colouring book adventures.

I never dreamed that one day I would have my own colouring book and that I would be able to add activities to it to encourage creativity.

But here it is.

I also didn’t expect that it would actually help me to feel better by encouraging me to have a digital detox.

This aurora borealis addition to the Lindisfarne castle was great fun to create. It’s a bit wild and trippy and my own interpretation. But as a first attempt I kind of love it.

I have used a combination of watercolour pencils and acrylic pens for this one.

My colouring book was designed by me using my original artwork and printed in the North East of England.

I have finally come round to the idea that autumn 🍂 is on its way and summer is truly over.

Here is a little snapshot of my behind the scenes content set up.

It’s been a busy time with my social enterprise so dedicated time for Powder Butterfly has been really tricky.

But as we head into the festive season I am excited about the year ahead.
