It's Shop Indie Day, and here's what that means when you walk through our doors.
You're not buying from a shelf. You're buying from James, who'll ask what you're cooking before he recommends anything. From Kallum, who'll pour you a taste from our by-the-glass list before you commit to a full one.
You're also backing more than one indie. So many of the w**es on our shelves come from small, independent producers, often families who've worked the same vineyards for generations. Most of the food on our sharing boards comes from independent suppliers we've worked with for years.
At and in Macclesfield, we share our food halls with brilliant independent kitchens and traders. In Didsbury, and soon in Chorlton, most of our neighbours on the street are independent too.
Independent shops keep high streets worth walking down. This Christmas, come and find yours.
