THREE DECLARED ON EASTER SUNDAY.
We send three down to Market Rasen on Sunday, where the going is currently good, good to soft in places.
The normally ultra consistent Lillistar fell and pulled up on her last two starts over hurdles, but came right back to her best on the flat at Newcastle 25 days ago with an excellent second, suggesting that she is primed for a big run here. Lillistar runs at 2.48.pm, in the 0-95 handicap hurdle, over the extended two miles and four furlongs, with Josh Thompson who claims 5lb, on board for the first time.
The application of a first time hood, and a significant drop down in trip to two miles gave Beat The Edge something different to think about last time over this course and distance, and it certainly did the trick, as he ran his best race of the season with a solid third. Unfortunately anyone who knows Beat The Edge will be aware that he may not give as generously again this time. Beat The Edge goes to post for the 0-100 handicap chase at 3.58.pm, over two miles and one furlong, with Alice Stevens retaining the ride.
Bunker Bay has now put solid back to back runs over hurdles together, with two recent third place finishes, including over this course and distance last time. He appears to have found his level and wouldn't have to improve too much in order to take a hand in the finish here. Bunker Bay runs at 4.33.pm, in the 0-100 handicap hurdle, over the extended two miles, with Joshua Thompson retaining the ride.
