MICKY HAMMOND & BECKY SMITH RACING.
SEEYAINTHESUNINN GOING FOR THE FOUR TIMER.
We have two runners on Thursday at Newcastle over jumps, where the going is currently described as good, good to soft in places.
Seeyainthesuninn has done nothing but improve since breaking his duck at the 12th attempt at Cartmel back in July. He has since gone on to win four of his last five starts which has seen his mark rocket from 78 to a current 105. The way he won at Wetherby 22 days ago suggests that the 5lb rise for that win is fair, although this race is a significant step up in grade from the 0-105 he contested last time. Seeyainthesuninn runs at 1.34.pm, in the 0-120 handicap hurdle over three miles, with Alice Stevens who has been on board for all of the last three wins retaining the ride.
Halpha Soleil was last seen in June when finishing an excellent runner up at Hexham on his third start since wind surgery, for which the handicapper has taken no chances by pushing back up 5lb, although he still remains 10lb below his career highest mark of 110. Even so Halpha Soleil hasn't run for 152 days he has still had the most recent run amongst his four rivals, who have all run well fresh at times. Halpha Soleil goes to post for the 0-115 handicap chase, over two miles and four furlongs, at 2.40.pm, with Brian Hughes, who has ridden him five times previously, back in the saddle.
