First Established in 1955 by the Fairchilds, Fairy's Fancies is a souvenir and gift shop situated in St James Place by the busy and picturesque harbour of Ilfracombe, North Devon.

We are now closed for January.

This is our chance to catch up with ourselves, enjoy some weekends together as a family and do all the odd jobs that need doing around the house and garden.

We will be back with news of our Feb opening times soon and already have some new ideas for Fairy's Fancies 2026!

Thanks again for all the support over Christmas which helps enable us to have some to regroup and slow down!

We have a S A L E on!

We are open tomorrow until the weekend and then we shall be hibernating for January (well, catching up with home life and Faye is booked up for portrait painting)

We will be back open in February 🩷

Thank you everyone who shopped with us over Christmas - so many of you said they were making a huge effort to shop locally and it really makes a huge difference to us as a business. We want to be a gift shop for locals as well as somewhere for tourists to buy their souvenirs.

So thank you so much for these intentions! 🎀

This will be our first year with both of us onboard at Fairy's Fancies and we cannot wait to see what sort of rollercoaster it will be. Every season is a different ride for sure!

Merry Christmas to all our wonderful Fairy's Fancies customers.

We want to make sure we are a go-to gift shop for locals and not just here for the tourism trade. And so we are incredibly humbled to have returning customers and such lovely feedback about our window displays and items. And to everyone we know who purchases, shares and recommends us. It has been a life-improving venture for two Spicy brained peeps!

We are thoroughly enjoying some family time together. We have plans for 2026 and look forward to being back with limited opening times over January and February.

Wishing everyone who visits, lives in and loves our special little town, a very happy Christmas and healthy New Year!
