A very Cool private Hen party event last night for a mixed group of 30 living in London, they all enjoyed the wines and atmosphere. I really do like mixing up events and creating a happy crowd.

🔸 Part-time – Minimum 16 hours/week
🔸 Retail + Wholesale + Events (yes, wine tastings!)

🔸 Must be 18+, able to lift a case of wine (7kg)

Farewell to the dreadful vinyl flooring — and a warm welcome to our stunning 100-year-old brick floor, now beautifully cleaned and polished with beeswax. The bar and cashier area have been created from vintage 40-year-old tea crates, and we’re just waiting on recyled timber to build the shelving that will showcase our amazing selection of wines. We’re also adding a breakfast bar where you can sit, sip a glass of red or white, and watch the world go by. We can’t wait for the licence to be in place so we can finally start serving all you wine and beer lovers!

Aldi have Châteauneuf-du-Pape on offer for £9.99, down from the usual £20. Honestly, I’m surprised they can even sell it for £20 in the first place. From what I understand, it’s hard enough to buy from the vineyards below the €15 mark — and once you factor in excise duties, shipping, and taxes, you're already well over the £20 threshold.

So while it's on offer, I picked up a couple of bottles. My verdict? Definitely not worth £20, but for a tenner — yeah, it’s decent. That said, I can think of a couple of my Côtes du Rhône that retail at £15–£17.50 that I’d choose over this any day.

Planning to do a blind side-by-side tasting soon against a few Côtes du Rhône to see how it really stacks up.

Yes thats a trailer full of 1970 and 80s tea crates , using upcycled materials as much as possible while we create our Shop ready for opening in May.
Worth the 2 hour drive down to Fowey in Cornwall , Big thanks to my good friend Matt for his help a (a regular face helping to give you a amzing night at our wine tasting events)

A more intimate evening for our latest Food & Wine Pairing event, this time collaborating with the brilliant Daniel Tugwell from Nomad dining at the Old Foundry in Bideford.

Guests enjoyed three beautifully crafted courses, each paired with both a red and a white wine—six in total. It was a relaxed and engaging night, with everyone learning more about pairing techniques and discovering new favourites along the way.
