The Lowland releases in our Q2 outrun are not your typical Lowland styles!
Dont expect any light or grassy notes from these!
We have a punchy Finglassie from Inchdarnie finished in Maderia.

A fruity bomb from Lindores Abbey - great to get this out as a Bourbon Barrel so your getting the balance of distilery character and cask influence.

Finally, we have a Big Hearts charity release from North British. An excellent vanilla and liquirice grain

We grouped our 9 cask outrun into flavour categories. Flavour can be subjective so a couple releases appear in different categories.

At the moment I'm in the light and fruity camp but that might be because its Summer.

Our latest website exclusive has arrived.

This 10-year-old Teaninich was matured in a refill hogshead before a finishing period in a first fill PX octave cask, delivering a wonderfully concentrated character with layers of dried fruit notes of ginger fudge, Maraschino cherries and dark chocolate!

IWe discuss why we selected this cask, the influence of the octave maturation and the tasting notes that made this release stand out.

Independent bottler Lady of the Glen continues its reputation for unusual cask finishes and characterful single casks with four exciting new releases:

🌿 11 Year Old Inchmurrin (Loch Lomond)

A vibrant and fruity Highland malt showcasing Inchmurrin’s distinctive spirit character. Expect orchard fruits, peach, apricot and vanilla sweetness backed by gentle spice. Inchmurrin is renowned for its bright, tropical style.

🍇 12 Year Old Inchgower – Madeira Cask Finish

The coastal, slightly savoury character of Inchgower meets rich Madeira wine influence. Look for dried fruits, caramelised sugars, orange peel and warming spice balanced by Inchgower’s trademark maritime edge. Lady of the Glen’s wine cask finishes are particularly well regarded among whisky enthusiasts.

🍯 12 Year Old Glen Spey – Pineau des Charentes Finish

A rarer Speyside distillery paired with the sweet French fortified wine Pineau des Charentes. Expect honeyed fruits, ripe peaches, white grapes, gentle citrus and creamy sweetness, adding a luxurious layer to Glen Spey’s elegant spirit.

🕯️ 12 Year Old Clynelish

A distillery favourite among whisky geeks, known for its waxy texture and complex coastal character. Anticipate citrus oils, honey, mineral notes and that distinctive waxy mouthfeel that makes Clynelish so sought after.
