GARNACHA. BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT. 🍷

Meet Les Basses · Gironet 2025, from Teulada, in the heart of Alicante’s Marina Alta.

Gironet is the traditional local name for Garnacha — a grape with deep Mediterranean roots. And this w**e takes a fascinating route: six months ageing in tinajas, traditional clay amphorae.

No oak barrels. Just clay, time and the character of the grape, allowing its Mediterranean identity to take centre stage.

This is what makes exploring Spanish w**e so exciting. There’s always another grape, another tradition, another story waiting to be discovered — sometimes right on our doorstep.

Avinyó La Ticota 2018 has been awarded a silver medal at the Ch*****ne & Sparkling W**e World Championships 2026—and we’re delighted for the family behind it!

This summer, we visited Avinyó during harvest and spent time among the vineyards. Seeing where the w**es begin makes news like this feel that little bit more personal.

It’s why we love what we do at La Solera: introducing you to bottles you might otherwise never discover, and the people who make them.

Congratulations to the whole Avinyó family and team 🥂

On the eve of Halloween, we’re doing something we’ve never done before at La Solera Vinoteca.
Picture a Friday evening. A glass of w**e in your hand, cheese and olives on the table... and a deck of Tarot cards waiting for you.

We’re welcoming Goldie Burns — warm, wonderfully interesting and known for her modern approach to Tarot and experiences centred around clarity and self-discovery.
For one evening, Goldie will be offering just 10 private, one-to-one Tarot readings at La Solera.
Your 20 minutes with Goldie are yours alone. The rest of the evening? W**e, a few nibbles, good company and perhaps a conversation about what the cards revealed...
