We are very happy to welcome to the Balera shelves our three new wines made in collaboration with
Podere Beghetto is a small family business in Gargallo, Carpi (provincia di Modena) started by Augusto in 1943 and now run by his grandson Paolo. Driven by the desire to produce a wine respectful of nature and outstanding, Paolo decided to apply organic and biodynamic agriculture to the land and vines.
On the 13 hectares of silt loam soil, Paolo grows various indigenous varieties of Lambrusco, Pignoletto and Albana.
When we visited and met last September, we fell in love with their approach to viticulture and were impressed by the quality of their wines, which stand out as a wonderful expression of the local terroir and vinification culture. We decided, therefore, to include 3 of their bottles in our selection, making them part of the Balera wines line. Each selection is bubbly, characterised by a pleasing minerality and savouriness given by the terroir, and absolutely perfect for the summer.
Tutt’i Dè - 100% 𝑃𝑖𝑔𝑛𝑜𝑙𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑜
A refreshing, typical Emilia Romagna white sparkling wine for everyday drinking. Characterised by aromas of crisp green apple alongside a floral bouquet of hawthorn, it evokes delicate jasmine notes. Dry but lively, with a vibrant, juicy entry supported by a fine sparkle, it leads to an expressive, savoury finish.
Marani Marani - 100% 𝐿𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑐𝑜 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑖
On the nose emerges the tension of black cherry jam and a rich floral bouquet of dog rose veering towards hibiscus notes. It feels dry but rounded, fruity, and savoury. It is a very versatile rosé, playful indeed to be drunk as an aperitivo, but with ample structure to support food.
Senz’Usta - 85% 𝐿𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑐𝑜 𝑆𝑜𝑟𝑏𝑎𝑟𝑎, 15% 𝐿𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑐𝑜 𝑆𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑜
It is still a rosato and already a red, characterised by the aromas of fresh raspberry and red currant typical of the Sorbara, alongside violet and wild rose notes which are distinctive of the Salamino. The palate is bone-dry and vertical with a crisp fruitiness balanced by a vibrant minerality.
