We’re excited to welcome our very first Austrian winery to the Altrovino selection: Ploder-Rosenberg, based in the rolling hills of Vulkanland Steiermark. Rooted in volcanic soils and a long-standing commitment to thoughtful farming, the Ploder family has been working biodynamically and without intervention in the cellar for many years.
Pioneers in their region, they’ve spent over two decades focusing on PIWIs and hybrid varieties—crafting singular, expressive wines that push boundaries while staying grounded in nature 🍇🍇🍇

Vivas 2020
A fragrant blend of aromatic varieties, Vivas opens with a bouquet of wildflowers, lychee, and lemon verbena. Despite the expressive nose, the palate is dry, refreshing, and effortlessly drinkable—light on its feet but full of character.
Cara 2020
A Burgundian-style field blend of Bronner, Souvignier Gris, Weissburgunder, Chardonnay, and a touch of Grüner Veltliner. Charming and layered, with a soft smokiness, ripe orchard fruit, and a fresh, mineral finish. Comforting yet precise.
