Youth Day – 16 June 1976
Youth Day in South Africa commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of thousands of students who took to the streets on 16 June 1976 in Soweto to protest against the apartheid government.

What began as a peaceful demonstration was met with violence, resulting in the deaths and injuries of many young people. Their courage became a turning point in the struggle for freedom and justice, drawing international attention to the injustices of apartheid.

Today, Youth Day serves as a reminder of the power of young people to bring about change. It is a day to honour the legacy of the youth of 1976, reflect on the progress made, and inspire the next generation to lead with courage, purpose, and a commitment to building a better South Africa.

The theme of Youth Day remains clear: the youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the changemakers of today. Today we were privileged to host 500+ youth for a day of love. Another 600+ families received much-needed food aid this week! ❤️ between 2500 and 3000 ppl impacted. Families from Margate Ext 3, Ramsgate, Gcilima, Louisiana, Marburg 2 distributions, Lions Grove and Nyandezulu were blessed through the generosity of our incredible community partners and supporters.

A special thank you to Tys Fresh Produce for donating 400 x 3kg bags of potatoes. We are so grateful for your continued support. May you be abundantly blessed for your generosity. 🙌

Sometimes the greatest blessing is not something extravagant—it is simply being able to sleep in peace. 🥰

Recently, we received a distress call from a widow and mother of four beautiful daughters, aged between 4 and 15 years old from Gcilima. Since the passing of her husband she has worked hard to provide for her family. While she does have an income it is very limited and barely covers her daily transport costs and the basic necessities needed to care for her children.

Her greatest concern was not for herself but for her daughters.
Their home had large holes in the roof and whenever it rained water would pour into the room where the family slept. The room became damp, uncomfortable and extremely cold. As winter approached, the situation became even more difficult. Nights were long and freezing, the family struggled to stay warm and dry at night.

Feeling overwhelmed and concerned for her children this brave mom reached out to us for help. We shared her need with our Ignite community and almost immediately an incredible sponsor stepped forward and generously donated everything needed to repair the roof. Today the repairs were completed.

The relief and gratitude on this mother's face were unforgettable. Through tears of joy, she hugged us and said, "I can finally sleep in peace and I can finally be warm at night." What many people take for granted—a safe, dry roof over their heads—was an answer to prayer for this family.

Your generosity has done more than repair a roof; it has restored dignity, brought comfort and given a mother peace of mind knowing her children can sleep safely and warmly. Late Post Easter Programme | Port Shepstone Primary School Outreach

We had the privilege of visiting Port Shepstone Primary and spending time with every class, sharing the love of Jesus and teaching the children about the significance of the Resurrection weekend. 1400 Easter Eggs were Distributed to the students.

In a world where many children face challenges, confusion, and negative influences, it is vital that they hear messages of hope, purpose, and unconditional love. We reminded them that they are valued, created with purpose, and deeply loved by God.

Children are our future, and investing in their spiritual, emotional, and personal development is one of the greatest responsibilities we have. Reaching them with love, truth, and encouragement is not just important—it is a priority.

Thank you to Creston College for their continuous support and for partnering with us with Easter eggs as we impact young lives, one child at a time.

Over 600 families, impacting approximately ±2,500 individuals, received vital food aid through our outreach initiatives.

Areas reached included Louisiana, Merlewood, Muddyville, Merlewood Seniors, Nyandezulu, Marburg Industrial (supporting Murchison and Bhoboyi job seekers), Margate Central, Margate Beachfront, Southport, Anerley, Umtentweni, Hibberdene and Marburg residential area opposite the clinic.

In addition, 500 hot meals were distributed to children, bringing nourishment, hope, and care to vulnerable communities. Food parcels were also distributed to over 100 vulnerable seniors.

Jesus this is all You! We magnify Your name! You alone deserve all the glory!

A precious mum of 4, now a widow, is doing her best to care for her children in extremely difficult conditions. Her 4 daughters, aged between 4 and 15 years old are battling against the elements and the cold weather setting in, we are appealing to our community to come together and help bring warmth, dignity, and hope to this family. ❤️ not to mention this is also extremely dangerous to have water dripping around exposed electrical wires.

We are urgently needing:
▪️ 10 x 4.2 metre tin sheets
▪️ Cost per sheet: R279

Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of this family and help provide safer shelter for these precious children.

Our annual Coffee with Jesus Mother’s Day event was an incredible blessing as we hosted 200 precious mums for a beautiful time of love, encouragement, fellowship, and ministry. As always, we extend an open invitation to mums of all religions and backgrounds, and it was so special to spend time with each and every one of our precious ladies. 🤍

We were deeply honoured to have Pastor Mel Singh as our guest speaker. She released the Word of the Lord with power, leaving our mums renewed, strengthened, encouraged, and filled with a fresh zest for life. Testimonies of healing and restoration followed the session, and we are so grateful for all that God did in the room.

We were also so blessed to spoil and care for our mums in practical ways:
• 50 senior mums between 70 and 86 years old received blankets ( mums that lost their children also received)
• 200 bags of fruit lovingly packed and supplied by Tys Fruit and Veg
• 200 “Bags of Hope” lovingly sown by Aunty Audrey Human — bless those beautiful hands, Lord 🙏Each bag was filled with goodies including panty liners, face towels, swabs, slipper shoes, socks, soap, and packets of biscuits
• 200 mugs with treats
• 200 sachets of Jacobs Coffee
• 30 additional gifts and vouchers — thank you Salon Shaz, Larry’s, KCs, and our sponsor for 20 pairs of earrings and the massage vouchers
• 200 doughnuts and 100 bottles of water sponsored by Tarell Krishna
• 50 Bibles
• 200 water cups
• 200 fridge magnets
• 35 platters of biscuits

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed towards gifts, meals, beverages, printing and sponsorships. We value and appreciate every single one of you.
