Have you heard of Von Wines?
It’s always a treat to open one of their reds on these chilly winter evenings.

Winemaker Rudi, after 15 years in the game, launched Von Wines to focus on bold, character-driven wines. Classic Shiraz, but also more unexpected gems like Durif (also known as Petite Sirah) and Tannat.

Find them in our shop right here in Stellenbosch.

We’ve added a new Chardonnay to the shelves and it’s really stunning. Pieter and his family made something truly special on their farm in Bonnievale. They’ve named the wine “IJsland” in honour of the often icy-cold mornings out in the vineyard.

Winter might be quiet for some, but at Vineyard Connection there’s always something going on. We’ve just had a wave of new releases land in the shop, and there’s plenty to taste and explore. We’re also working on a few new things behind the scenes that we’ll be sharing soon.

Our shop is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Alheit 2024 is (almost) here!

It’s a very, very small vintage this year—but in Chris’ own words, probably “one of the best” he’s ever seen in terms of quality.

We were lucky enough to taste the wines on Monday and, honestly, they’re all showing beautifully. Keep an eye out for Hereafter Here, Fire by Night, Nautical Dawn, and Magnetic North—they’re (again) singing this year, if you can get your hands on a bottle.

They’ll be hitting the shop soon in limited quantities. Message us if you want to secure your bottle!

The new Crystallum release from Peter-Allan and Andrew is so small and so good, we seriously considered not selling it at all. But how could we keep Litigo, Mabalel, Cuvée Cinéma, Ferrum & Clay Shales from you?

Just handful of bottles are available in the shop in Stellenbosch.

Bernhard Bredell started his brand Scions of Sinai Wines in 2016, and his wines have always showcased the unique characteristics of the Sinai Hill.

Our favourites of his new 2024 release are the Heldervallei Cinsault, the Granietsteen Chenin Blanc and the Gramadoelas Grenache Blanc.

A Celebration of 21 Years of Friendship, Fun, and MR de Compostella 2022 - with an extraordinary maiden release of MR Vesperi 2023!

Bruwer and Mzo have really brought something special to the table with this exceptional white wine made from equal parts Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Chenin Blanc.
It has vibrant notes of lemon curd, ripe apricot, and a hint of meringue, with a beautiful texture and rich, layered complexity that calls you back for more.

MR de Compostella 2022, also just released, is once again a world-class Bordeaux blend, showing such elegance and class – with great ageing potential, yet approachable now with fine, soft tannins.

These are both, certainly, a constellation of stars.

Jocelyn from Hogan Wines was in the shop today to share her new release.
She makes seriously terrific wines across the board - mineral Chardonnay, classy Chenin Blanc, fresh Cabernet Franc, intriguing Carignan and a groundbreaking Divergent Blend. There’s always that extra touch that pulls you deeper into the glass.

Chris Mullineux stopped by the shop yesterday to share the latest Leeu Passant release with us. Always a treat to taste the wines - the Stellenbosch Chardonnay and Cabernet continue to impress, and the Cinsault, sourced from South Africa’s oldest red vineyard, is just a stunning piece of history in a bottle.

These wines will be hitting the shelves next week - don’t miss them.

Sakkie Mouton’s new release of Revenge of the Crayfish 2024 is out and it’s a special one.
From vineyards in Koekenaap, this Chenin is probably one the most delicious and mouthwatering whites we’ve had in a long time!
