What started out as a love letter to this Gimba’s better half during lockdown by cooking & bringing home the world’s cuisines when we couldn’t roam freely.

After all of the experiments, taste-testing & snacking… we’re proud to continue to share with you food made with the same love, care & detail we’ve always believed in from day one.

We’re back at the market this Saturday and looking forward to seeing you Gimbas.

We’ll be serving up pillowy bao buns and double fried wings packed with the usual great flavours you’ve come to love us for.

From next Friday (5June) onward we’ll be bringing back Friday night bites where you can click and collect from our HQ in Brooklyn 📍 Pre- orders are essential.

Meet Nelson. Part of the agricultural community visiting the Young Farmers Indaba in PTA this week. This wee we get to feed those that will help to continue feeding our nation.

After his initiation he’ the latest inductee into the GImba VIP hall of fame.

The flavours had him at a loss for words at first and he lapped up those baos like a true champion.

Thank you to everyone who dares to be curious and sample the Gimba life.

Come talk to your favourite Gimba about our chef’s special sauce as a coating on your double-fried wings.

The current flavour of the month is our Ginger Snapper emulsified chilli oil. A hefty portion of fresh ginger is slow cooked for 4hrs in ghee & coconut oils alongside fresh pineapple, hoisin sauce, red wine vinegar & the pulp from 4 of our hottest sauces. We hit with dash of fermented mustard seeds as well to round out the van damme - like kick of heat on the back end.

The wings are dusted with a mix gochugaru, sage, salt & vinegar, parsley & other seasonings before being topped off with toasted sesame seeds & spring onions.

One for the chilli heads and flavour seekers alike.

Ginger Snapper chilli oil is only available as a wing coating at our market while stocks last so we’ll see you again on Saturday.
