Great to have the crew from at the brewery today for our new "All about Beer" training module with the intention teach our customers more about Beer and how to pour that perfect pint (and maybe have a taste of Port Alfreds best beer).

We had the privilege of doing a Gin & Beer Tasting at Settler Park Retirement Village last week Thursday (30th January). Needles to say, the ladies seemed to enjoy the gin a bit more than the beer, but the gents made up for it. Thank you to Eastern Province Caterers of teaming up with us.

So did you know that South Africa has a National Beer Day! Yes we do and it is celebrated on the 1st Saturday in February each year. This year has even more cause to celebrate as it is on Saturday 1st February and which South African would not want an ice cold beer this summer.

Well, I think we are finally finished with the upgrades to the front of house of the Brewery - thinking that it looks pretty awesome we think! Next time you are at Wharf Street, pop into Port Alfreds own little brewery for a quick tour and a beer or three.

Supported a great event on Friday 29th at 43 Air School with the soft launch of their new menu. We provided some tasters of what the brewery has to offer in terms of craft beer and gin's. Thanks for allowing us to be part of your event - much appreciated.

Friday saw our second set of budding young brewers from Stenden at the Brewery. Once again, Bethwell was on hand to give them a in-depth view of the brewing process and how to make great beer!

We had our first brewery tour with some of the 1st year Stenden students. Our accomplished brew master, Bethwell, took the students around the brewery and explained the brewing process. The tour ended off with some tasters of our Lager, Pilsner, Ale and Porter. Thank you to the Stenden students and hopefully the tour peaked your interests in the art of brewing.

For everyone who tried our beer-chocolate pairing, we are incredibly thankful to Ela from Sjukla.

Sjukla is an artisanal Belgian chocolaterie founded in 2012 by Ela Van Coillie, who trained while living in Belgium and later returned to her hometown of Port Elizabeth, where the chocolates are now made.

Early Sunday Morning at the Bathurst Country Affair. Everyone is getting ready for the last day of the event, which was incredibly well supported so far.

Pig ‘n Whistle was kind enough to let us occupy some of their area - a pub which you have to visit at some time in your life! Thank you 👊🏻
