Recipe and Ingredients 🧂🥣

Meat Sauce 🍅🥘
1.5kg lean mince
1 medium onion; finely chopped
10ml olive oil
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. barbecue spice
1 tbsp. ground coriander
1 can chopped tomatoes
300g macaroni, cooked to package instructions
Salt and pepper

White Sauce 🥛🧀
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
400ml milk
Salt and pepper
200g grated cheddar cheese

Method 👩🏽‍🍳
1.Preheat oven to 180ºC. Heat the oil in a pan, then brown the onion and add spices. Add and brown mince, then pour in canned tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, then let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in cooked pasta and gently mix before removing from the heat.
2.In a separate pot, melt the butter then whisk in the flour. Slowly add the milk, stirring continuously. Season with salt and pepper. Bring it to a low simmer until sauce is smooth and thick.
3.Add layers of mince and white sauce in a baking tray, finishing the last layer with white sauce. Top with grated cheddar cheese and bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly browned on top.
