Summer has arrived at ‘Johnson’s Post’! And it seems that the sunny weather has inspired our Master baker, Peetra, to combine her creative skills and baking skills. Hello Picasso, or Peetrassso?!

This divine cake is a delicious Lemon Sponge cake covered in an equally Lemony butter cream icing… I mean 🤤. The first two slices of cake sold within 5 minutes of the cake arriving with us at ‘Johnson’s Post’!

Pop in for a slice and a sip of locally brewed C&P Craft Coffee Roasters coffee.

There seems to a be certain flow and rhythm to ‘Johnson’s Post’, a big part of that flow is sometimes taking that one thing that is considered ordinary and making it extraordinary…

Take these Coffee Mugs for instance. They look or may be perceived one way, yet, once you touch, feel and sense them you will realise it is not at all what you think it is!?

If you look a little closer in the image, you may even be able to spot a little hint of a new loaf to come!

Some days are just special…

Sometimes everything seems to just fall into place. A dream, a plan, a prayer… Sometimes the alignment is just there! Today was one of those days. How could it not be when you are greeted in the morning by the rare bloom of an Easter Lily cactus, its delicate sunlike faces looking up at ‘Johnson’s Post’. A bloom that lasts only 12-24 hours… It felt like a wink from the universe...

Today was going to be special!

The Market was a tremendous success, it breathed new life into ‘the old building on the side’… and now that the building is alive, well… who knows what it will bloom into!

Thank you to everyone who made the day so special, our vendors, guests and team, thank you for a fantastic day!

There is a different rhythm on ‘Johnsons Post’ Market Days…

The morning starts earlier but the pace is a little faster. There is an electricity that builds, an excitement that brews alongside that first morning coffee.

The oven is heating up, the flowers are on the tables…
The traders have arrived and the Goods are looking…AMAZING!

Market Days feel like a big family gathering. Everyone brings a little something different to the table and we all get a chance to connect.

Breads will be baking to crusty perfection, pancakes will be flipping like limber gymnasts… the roast chickens will soon have that perfect summer tan. Of course there will also have some timeless classics, like the curried pickled fish and an array of cakes fit for a Royal high tea!

The guests are arriving and the Easter lily cactus is in bloom… the morning is definitely finding its groove…

All we need now, is you!

We are beyond thrilled to let everyone know that the ‘Johnsons Post’ Weekend Market is back and it’s happening THIS SATURDAY the 31st October, from 8am!

We will be bringing you some of the delicious old favourites, and even a few new tantalising surprises… Speaking of surprises, you’ll also discover there’s been a few changes here at ‘Johnson’s Post’! (this is something you’re going to hear us say quite a bit).

We aren’t just another “Pitstop” along the drive, a place where you can grab a few things and then forget about as you drive away…

For some, we are the destination. A place they will never forget…

At ‘Johnson’s Post’ we aim to bring you the very best, made with love, served with pride, shared with gratitude…
We set out to bring beautiful products to the community we care about, but soon realised that a lot of the real magic actually comes from what YOU bring US.

A story from your childhood about buying meat from the very building we inhabit today. A group of ladies meeting up for a Bible study on a quiet week-day morning. Cyclists stopping to refuel and catch a breath and grab a Coffee and Oat Crunchie. The meeting of friends, the person reading in a sunlit corner. The rescue dog, resting under the table while coffee brews and jazz plays in the background…

It’s moments like these that make us feel the true alchemy of what we are doing. They remind us that as much as we appreciate how often people have said ‘We have needed Johnson’s Post’!
