Last night we welcomed the brilliant Trizanne Barnard for the release of her Seascape Range new vintages.

Trizanne’s story is one of adventure, dedication, and vision. From making wine across the world to launching Trizanne Signature Wines in 2009, her work has always been inspired by the ocean and the unique coastal vineyards she champions.

The new Seascape release captures that spirit perfectly refined, elegant, and shaped by the Cape’s winds, soils, and waves.

We’re thrilled to finally share these wines with you. They’re here. They’re ready. And they carry Trizanne’s unmistakable touch.

The wines are now available for order online with Wine Menu Kramerville

Côtes du Rhône ‘Fruité’ from Domaine Roger Perrin is made for weekends. It is fruit-driven, smooth, and easy to love.

Behind the bottle is a Rhône family estate dating back to 1969, now run by Véronique and her son Xavier. Old vines, sustainable farming, and classic Rhône terroir all come together in this wine.

It’s the perfect pour for the rugby and a braai. Serve it slightly chilled, keep it flowing, and enjoy the game.

This will be less heavy on your pockets than placing bets on the game.

Available online and in-store at Wine Menu Kramerville.

Buying good wine is really clever. Storing your good wine appropriately is not just clever, but essential.
Storing wine in your kitchen is not cute or clever at all. Imagine those precious Sadies or Alheit wines you spent all your hard earned money on sitting in the warm kitchen, literally cooking away. Be clever, store correctly!

It’s release season, which means all those precious bottles are finally making their way into your loving arms. But here’s the hard truth: if you don’t store them properly, you’re setting yourself up for heartbreak instead of long-term joy. Wine wants to sleep in cool temperatures, perfect humidity and nowhere close to any constant vibration. You see now why that beautiful rack next to your fireplace or your tumble dryer just won’t do?

That’s where Wineboxd in Kramerville steps in. Gauteng’s dedicated long-term wine and liquor storage solution, created so your prized bottles age the way they’re meant to. Safe, secure, and off your kitchen counter. There’s no quantity to small or too big. Some people just have a mixed case to keep for a few years and others have enough to make one blush a little.

You’ve done the hard part, hunting down the allocations, waiting for the release, maybe even negotiating with your credit card. Let us handle the easy part: keeping those bottles in perfect condition until the moment you’re ready to pull the cork.

Your wines deserve better. And frankly, so do you.

Beaumont has always been about character. Family-run, Bot River roots, and wines that speak of place as much as people.

The 2023 Raoul’s Red Blend is a tribute to that spirit. A Syrah-led blend with Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Franc, it’s bold yet refined, with dark fruit, pepper spice and a finish that lingers.

Named for Raoul Beaumont, whose love for vineyards and motorbikes shaped the estate’s energy, this wine carries that same fearless edge.

From one of South Africa’s pioneering family estates, it’s a bottle that balances heritage with a modern, drink-now appeal.

Steenberg Catharina 2021. Bold yet elegant.

A Bordeaux-style red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot.
Two years in French oak gives it depth and polish.
Mint and herbs on the nose. Blackcurrant, dark cherry, and chocolate on the palate.
Silky, plush, and structured for aging.

Founded in 1682 by the fearless Catherina Ras, a formidable maybe even notorious woman of her time. Steenberg is the oldest registered farm in the Cape.
From its Constantia slopes, the estate continues her legacy of resilience and quality.

Pair with roast lamb, venison, or rich winter dishes.
This is Steenberg’s flagship, named in her honour.

Kanonkop’s legacy spans four generations on the Simonsberg, with a reputation built on producing some of South Africa’s most age-worthy red wines. From its first bottled wines in the 1970s to today, the estate has remained a benchmark for Cabernet family varieties.

The Paul Sauer 2022 continues this tradition. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, from vines rooted in decomposed granite soils, it reflects the cooler vintage with poise, freshness, and lifted aromatics. Cabernet Franc adds perfume and graphite detail to the core of dark berries and cedar.

Twenty-four months in 100% new French oak provide structure for decades of graceful ageing, reinforcing why Paul Sauer remains one of the country’s most collectible Bordeaux blends.

It is now available online and in-store with Wine Menu Kramerville

Jamet Cote-Rotie Vertical Perspective
Saturday August 23rd
2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

We know the time seems strange, but there’s rugby and we can’t miss that. Jamet will get us in the mood for the big game!

A rare opportunity to experience the power of Jamet Côte-Rôtie through a vertical tasting.

Domaine Jamet respects the terroir and a passion for wine in its work, in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie hills, home to some of the most thought provoking Syrah’s in the world. It took about 30 years for Jamet to gain the popularity it enjoys today. They are uncompromising in there philosophy and practices. Not driven by scores and wine writers, but by quality and conviction alone. Jamet Côte-Rôtie is produced from twenty parcels and essentially in whole bunches, the wine is subsequently kept in barrels for 22 months. The assemblage, a key word for Jean-Paul Jamet, with the variety of terroirs, exposure and the age of the vines all complementary elements that combine their strengths. This is a benchmark wine for many of South Africa’s top Syrah producers. You will here the name Jamet mentioned with respect when tasting with these winemakers, many of whom have spent at least one harvest with Jean-Paul. You’ll even hear some claiming that Porseleinberg 2018 is the most Jamet-like of all South African Syrah’s.

Alex Dale have been importing this iconic wine for several years and as such can be considered the most knowledgeable about this producer. We are honoured to have Alex present a selection of vintage wines from his cellar and some of the new releases available now.

What. A. Day.

This past Saturday, the Women of Wine Festival at Wine Menu brought together some of South Africa’s most inspiring female winemakers, estate owners, and industry trailblazers, all under one buzzing roof. (Technically also on the deck but we are counting it as one roof)

From the first pour to the last swirl, the room was filled with connection, curiosity, and the kind of conversations that remind us why wine is so much more than what’s in the glass. Guests tasted everything from bright, zesty whites to deep, complex reds, Cap Classiques with stories to tell, and rare treasures you won’t find just anywhere.

But beyond the wines, it was about the women behind them their craft, their courage, their creativity. This festival wasn’t just a tasting; it was a celebration of skill, vision, and the voices shaping the future of South African wine.

Thank you to every producer who poured their heart into the day, every guest who joined us in raising a glass, and the team that made it all happen. Here’s to the women making waves in wine, may we drink with them, learn from them, and keep cheering them on.
