*ACCUSED OF BEING A KWEREKWERE*
SOUTH AFRICAN TEENAGER KILLED IN MOSSEL BAY

Tribalism masking behind illegal immigrant marches has claimed another South African life. Social media is buzzing after a post by . While most people sent messages of condolences, some chose to continue in the tribalistic trail. "Amashangane ayadelela," said one of the ignorant South Africans.

Nonhlanhla's 19-year-old brother, Nhlamulo, was murdered in Mossel Bay after being accused of being a foreigner. The Tsonga-speaking young man was allegedly accosted by a group of South Africans (Xhosa-speaking) who proceeded to assault and murder him.

Jancita Ngobese Zuma has been fingered by social media users as the inciter of the violence firstly against illegal migrants, then migrants, now South Africans from Limpopo. EFF member, outspoken Naledi Chirwa wrote to the leader of March and March, Jancita Zuma, who has been leading multitudes chanting "fusek Shangane." A South African Shangane has been murdered and she is now deflecting the blame.

Will Jacinta Zinhle MaNgobese Zuma distance herself from 30 June? Ngathi uzidistansa kuyo yonke into usisi.

*PAKISTANI SELECTED TO LEAD TSHWANE DUDULA – THE MAN ACCUSED OF MAKING FAKE PRODUCTS NOW LEADS DUDULA*

*BY BRIAN THANDO*

We live in a drama — in fact, a comedy series — as South Africans select a Pakistani man to be the deputy chairperson of a group that opposes foreigners, including Pakistanis. Clearly, these are the effects of a 30% pass rate, hunger politics, and Afrophobia.

Tensions have been rising as some South Africans have been making it clear that they want foreigners to leave the country before 30 June 2026. One of the anti-foreigner movements has seemingly skipped over the issue of foreign nationals and selected a Pakistani national, Imran Butt, to lead anti-foreigner marches. Imran came onto our radar after the Madlanga Commission testimony that mentioned his name.

Imran has accepted the nomination as deputy chairperson of TSHWANE DUDULA, even though scandals surround him. The Pakistani national was named as the alleged kingpin of manufacturing and distributing fake products, and faces serious allegations of being an interstate human-trafficking boss. Imran denied these claims made by General Sibiya.

Now the alleged fake-goods supplier is the deputy chairperson of DUDULA — a twisted irony. In response, the Pakistani community rejoiced, saying they will now have an "inside man" to protect them.

Six Men Sentenced to Life for Brutal Mob Justice Murders in Limpopo

Polokwane – The Polokwane High Court has handed down two life sentences to each of the six men convicted for the kidnapping and brutal murder of two individuals in a mob justice incident that occurred in the Maake policing area.

The accused—Maseabi Godfrey Senyolo (46), Thabiso Senyolo (39), Elmon Shai (32), Mmoye Freddy Senyolo (42), Isiah Melanzi (40), and Tjatji William Gafane (43)—were sentenced on two counts of murder and two counts of kidnapping. In addition to the life terms, each received five years’ imprisonment for the kidnapping charges. The court further declared all six unfit to possess fi****ms.

The sentencing follows a horrific attack that took place on 23 August 2023, when the victims, Tantane Paulus Mangena (49) and Tshepo Conrates Malatjie (34), were forcibly removed from their homes. According to court testimonies, the victims had been accused of theft. They were assaulted at the All-Star sports ground before being transported to Mokgoloboto Mountain. There, the mob brutally attacked them with a variety of weapons, forced them to ingest petrol, doused them in the flammable liquid, and set them alight. The victims’ bodies were burned beyond recognition.

During the trial, the state successfully opposed bail, ensuring the accused remained in custody. The case was comprehensively investigated by Captain Alfred Hopane of the Maake Detectives.

Limpopo’s Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, praised the investigating officer's dedication and welcomed the severe sentences as a deterrent against vigilantism. “This sentence sends a clear message that mob justice and acts of brutality will not be tolerated. We urge communities to report crime to the police rather than take the law into their own hands,” Lieutenant General Hadebe stated.

PHAKELA UMTHAKATHI IS NOT FIGHTING FOREIGNERS BUT SOUTH AFRICAN WOMEN

Phakelumthakathi suggests that South African women don't mind being r***d and given money, as long as it is a foreigner doing the crime. In a careless post as usual, the clearly uneducated, uncivilised and attention-seeking, self-proclaimed warrior, who never fought a war, has made it his duty to insult South African women using foreigners. He first accused women of selling the country to foreigners, then he said women are like children, they need protection. He then said South African women love foreigners because they lick their private parts, unlike the Zulu, who don't kneel for a woman; recently, he took it a step further. He claimed South African women get r***d by foreigners and don't report the crime; instead, they get paid for being r***d.

Tiktoker called out Phakelaumthakathi for the way he speaks, saying he is not good with words, but he was met with a barrage of insults from Phakelaumthakathi’s fans.

"Most of the KWEREKWERES you see in the comments writing good isiZulu, it’s written by the SOUTH AFRICAN girls they r**e and then give them money," said Phakelaumthakathi.

Zimbabwean talent faces heat in SA, while SA artist finds grace in Zim

Two recent entertainment controversies reveal a striking double standard in how cross-border talent is received on opposite sides of the Limpopo. In the first case, Zimbabwe-born, South Africa-based TikToker Ndoyisile Ndumiso Sibindi, who has 1.1 million followers, auditioned for the revived SABC3 lifestyle show Top Billing. On Thursday, 7 May 2026, celebrity gossip blogger Musa Khawula reshared his audition video on X. The reaction from South African social media users was largely negative. Some argued that South African media graduates and local talent should be prioritised. Others resurfaced Sibindi's January 2025 rant criticising Tembisa residents at an upscale mall, calling the comments classist. Complaints also included his accent and unverified immigration claims. Only a few users praised his charisma. As of the report, neither Sibindi nor SABC3 had responded, and auditions continue.

In the second case, South African musician Naledi Aphiwe made a dismissive comment toward a Zimbabwean fan on TikTok, saying in isiZulu: "Hambani niyongilinda khona" ("Go and wait for me there"). Many Zimbabwean social media users interpreted the remark as xenophobic. After the comment resurfaced and threatened to derail her scheduled performance at the Ama2k Festival in Harare, Naledi issued a public apology in February 2026. She acknowledged she is "still young and constantly learning." Ahead of her April 2026 performance, she posted a TikTok video asking Zimbabwean fans: "Please be kind, it's my first time in Zimbabwe. Please be gentle." On 4 April 2026, she performed at the Ama2k Festival in Harare. Despite her fears of being booed or having things thrown at her, she received a warm welcome. She later described the experience as transformative, saying: "I felt seen, I felt welcomed, and I felt forgiven."

The contrast is clear. Zimbabweans forgave and warmly embraced a South African artist who had insulted them, allowing her to perform successfully and leave with a transformative experience. Meanwhile, a Zimbabwean living in South Africa continues to face opposition over his Top Billing audition, with critics demanding that local talent be prioritised and resurfacing past comments he made about Tembisa residents. One nation forgave an insult. The other is yet to give a chance.

South African Police Service RECOVERS COPPER WORTH 7 MILLION

An intelligence-driven operation conducted by members of the Benoni Flying Squad, in collaboration with a private security company, led to the recovery of copper worth an estimated R7 million following the hijacking of four trucks on the R21 near Olifantsfontein on Saturday, 09 May 2026.

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident. The operation was carried out at plots within the Putfontein policing precinct on Sunday, 10 May 2026.

Acting on information received, members of the Benoni Flying Squad and the private security company followed up on intelligence that led them to a plot in the Putfontein area, where copper suspected to be part of the hijacked consignment was recovered. The owners of the consignment positively identified the recovered cargo through serial numbers marked on the copper.

Two suspects found at the property were immediately arrested. A third suspect was later arrested in Bapsfontein after he was allegedly found offloading copper from one of the hijacked trailers.

Preliminary investigations further resulted in the recovery of approximately 1,075 pieces of square copper with an estimated value of R7 million. Police also recovered a private vehicle that had been reported stolen in the Free State in 2019, as well as a truck that had been hijacked in the Vosman policing area in 2025.

The three arrested suspects are expected to appear before court soon on charges related to truck hijacking, possession of suspected stolen property, and possession of hijacked vehicles. Police investigations are continuing.
