NORMAN GOODFELLOWS ENTERS A NEW CHAPTER UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP
We are pleased to share important news: Fine Wine Fellow (FWF) has entered into an agreement to acquire Norman Goodfellows (NGF), marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter ni our journey together. The transaction remains subject to approval by the Competition Commission and other customary conditions and wil not be implemented until such time as all requisite approvals have been obtained and conditions satisfied.
First, we extend our deepest gratitude to Solly and Charles Kramer, whose vision and dedication built NGF into one of South Africa's most respected names in wine, spirits, and beer since 1976 and food since 2022.
FWF's mission is to strengthen NGF's leadership in the beverage and food sector, and through its existing footprint in Africa to expand into new opportunities with confidence throughout the continent.
We are energized by what lies ahead, we will continue to innovate, further improve our service to customers, and deepen our supplier relationships. The trust and loyalty we have built will remain at the heart of everything we do.
Founder Solly Kramer echoed this confidence, noting that "we are proud of what we have built and confident that Fine Wine Fellow shares our values and vision for the future. Our customers and partners will benefit greatly from this new chapter".
As NGF moves forward under the FWF ownership, its ability to adapt and pioneer, whether through technology, service excellence, or building strong supplier and customer networks, will remain central to us. What evolves is the capacity to invest more, innovate faster, and strengthen partnerships across the beverage and food landscape.
