🎾 Player Spotlight: Pearlie Zhang 🎾

We’re thrilled to welcome Pearlie Zhang to this year’s Groft Charity Classic at the Country Club of York!

Pearlie enters the tournament following a standout 2024–25 season, climbing as high as No. 93 nationally in doubles with partner Bella Chhiv. She posted an impressive 11–7 singles record and 14–13 doubles record, including strong performances in Ivy League play. Her spring season added a solid 7–5 singles mark, rounding out a year defined by grit and growth.

Before Princeton, Pearlie was recognized not only for her talent but also for her character — earning multiple sportsmanship awards, two National L1 honors, and an end‑of‑year sectional award. A top‑10 player in Girls’ 16s, she captured two ITF titles, reached the Winter Nationals (16s) final, and held the distinction of being ranked No. 1 in New Jersey by Tennis Recruiting.

🎾 Returning Champion Spotlight: Allie Kiick 🎾

We’re thrilled to welcome back Allie Kiick, returning champion of the Groft Charity Classic!

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Allie has built an extraordinary tennis career — rising to No. 1 in the U.S. junior rankings (18U), reaching No. 15 in the ITF World Junior Rankings, and later competing on the biggest stages in tennis. As a professional, she captured seven singles titles and two doubles titles, reached 11 ITF finals, and earned a career‑high WTA singles ranking of No. 126. She has competed multiple times in all four Grand Slams and recorded victories over players ranked inside the world’s top 10.

Athletic excellence runs deep in her family — her father, Jim Kiick, was an NFL legend and two‑time Super Bowl champion with the Miami Dolphins.

Today, Allie brings her passion for the sport to her role as Director of Racquets at Hollywood Golf Club, while continuing to inspire players and fans with her resilience, grit, and love for the game.

Please join us in welcoming Melissa Lord to the Groft Charity Classic!

Originally from Bloomfield, CT, Melissa is a former Division I standout from Stanford University, where she competed at one of the most elite programs in collegiate tennis. Coming from a true tennis family — with both her brother and sister playing at the collegiate level — Melissa has carried her love for the sport into every chapter of her life.

After college, she spent six years in San Francisco before moving to New York City, where she now works in enterprise sales for a fintech company. Off the court, Melissa enjoys staying active with friends, strength training, catching comedy shows, and experimenting with new home‑cooked meals.

We’re excited to have Melissa make her Groft Charity Classic debut at the Country Club of York as we continue raising support for the York Opioid Collaborative’s mission to strengthen prevention, recovery, and wellness across our community.

We’re thrilled to welcome Kavya Karra back to the Groft Charity Classic at the Country Club of York!

Kayva, a rising senior at Harvard, has been a force both on and off the court. A former #1 Middle States junior and five‑star recruit, she’s earned Second Team All‑Ivy honors, reached an ITA doubles ranking of No. 41, and is a three‑time ITA Scholar‑Athlete.

Beyond tennis, Kayva is pursuing a double concentration in economics and psychology—bringing the same drive to her academics that she brings to competition.

Let’s give Kayva a warm welcome as she joins us in supporting the York Opioid Collaborative’s mission.

We’re excited to welcome back Mark Krupkin, the reigning champion of the Groft Charity Classic!

Mark recently wrapped up his freshman year at Stanford University, continuing the momentum of an already exceptional junior career. A blue‑chip recruit in the Class of 2025, he earned back‑to‑back Indoor Nationals titles and found success on the international stage with 2 ITF singles titles and 6 ITF doubles titles.

After an impressive performance here last year, Mark returns to the Country Club of York with the same competitive fire and focus that make him one of the most exciting young players to watch.

Join us in cheering on Mark as he steps back onto the court in support of the York Opioid Collaborative’s mission to strengthen prevention, recovery, and wellness across our community.
