Upon visiting Natalino Crognaletti at his family farm in Montecarotto in Marche, I was struck by his passion for organic and biodynamic farming and his love for the territory. All farming is done by hand, no pesticides or herbicides are used. Fermentation is carried out with natural yeasts and minimal amounts of sulfites added.
The wines of Fattoria San Lorenzo di Crognaletti Natalino, have finally landed in Maine, starting with the Rosso "di Gino", named after a vineyard dedicated to his father, is a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano, full and fresh, with black cherry, plum, spices and earthy tones. Fermented and aged in concrete tanks with small amounts in old barrels.
