Cigar of the Week 1/10/2025: Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art

Wrapper: Cameroon
Filler: Dominican Republic
Binder: Dominican Republic

This cigar starts out a little sweet, with an unexpected, yet welcome, bit of spice! A touch of leather comes out right around the time the cigar gets to its largest section, just after the foot. A good amount of the woodiness and coffee flavors join in at the end of the first third.
There is a touch of grass in the beginning of the second third, but dies down almost instantly. Nutty flavors join in pretty soon after. There is a touch of citrus that I notice just before getting very rich-caramel flavors. Very enjoyable!
The final third is definitely the most full bodied section of the stick, but what comes out is a honey/oat flavor, almost like cereal- very interesting! As I continue smoking, there’s a bit of pepper flavor that comes out, and almost immediately, a creamy feel joins in! Shortly after that, an almost savory taste comes into play. And before putting this great cigar out, I notice a light fig flavor!
Like all the Fuente ci**rs I enjoy, was complex, and tasty- this one is no different! So come give them a try today!

Cigar of the Week 1/3/2025: LFD Colorado Oscuro No.3

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan
Binder: Dominican

For the FIRST cigar of the week in 2025, we have this tasty, and fairly strong, LFD! This cigar starts out with a lot of nice spicy flavor. But yet, a small amount of sweetness, with a blast of a nutty flavor, that is excellent! Notes of coffee attempt to make their way out as a very smooth fruity flavor comes into play right around the end of the first third.
Once the second third starts to develop, it changes quite a bit. The sweetness from the beginning has died down a lot, and through the retro-hale, I notice an increase in the strength, as prominent black pepper comes out. There are definitely some woody/earthy notes that join in as I arrive at the final third of this cigar.
The final third brings back that sweetness from the start, and some chocolate notes. As I continue to smoke this cigar, I notice just how much it has changed in strength, because right now, with about an inch left, it is medium bodied at most- very interesting! There are some leather notes that join in, and before putting this stick out, I notice just a bit of caramel.
This was a great little cigar! A lot of changes, and great flavor! Come give them a try today, as supplies last!
