***UPDATE***
After removing a requested amount of bottles for the family of Coach Raymie, we will be releasing 144 bottles (previously posted 168) this morning at 9am. We are going to keep the 2 bottle limit in place for now.
As most of you know, Little League baseball runs deep in Pitt County and this weekend is the opening of the 2025 season! At the conclusion of last year’s season, Pitt County and the Greenville Little League community were rocked by the unexpected passing of Coach Raymie Styons, who led Brown and Wood Baseball and was involved in many All-Star teams over the course of his tenure.
If you knew Coach Raymie personally, consider yourself one of the lucky ones! Coach Raymie had a passion for all sports, but his passion for the youth of Pitt County and Greenville Little League was one of his greatest attributes.
Coach Raymie passed on August 4th, 2024 which was the day before a group was scheduled to go to Kentucky to do some bourbon barrel picks. One member of the group was closely connected with Coach Raymie through many years of little league, and after speaking with Coach Raymie’s immediate family and receiving their blessing, the group decided to dedicate one of the barrel picks in memory of Coach Raymie.
“Coach Raymie’s Pour” is an Elijah Craig 94 Proof barrel that was hand selected at the Heaven Hill Distillery.
This is not intended to link Little League and the sale of alcohol in any way. This was an idea, agreed upon with the family, to pay homage to an individual who has had an impact on so many individuals across our community.
There will be 168 bottles available and will be available at our Winterville location (beside Sam's Club) beginning at 9am tomorrow morning, April 4th, 2025. These will be first come first serve limited to 2 bottles per person.
