If you haven't tried the Egg Salad sandwich it is amazing. Check it out. or buy some Egg Salad to take home to the house they have small and large containers for the home or office fridge.

Many people think the cashier job at Town Pantry is easy. And just involves ringing people up on the register. they don't see everything John has to do after closing. Those of us in the know know its a lot more difficult a job than just a closer cashier job. He has to deal with multiple customers at a time, while slicing deli meat or cheese, making sandwiches for multiple customers at a time, when its busy, doing the lottery machine (can get very busy when its a high jackpot.) , cleaning the store, mopping the floors, sweeping the floors, doing the windows from time to time, pickup up trash from outside that is dropped in the parking lot, taking trash our, changing the ice, keeping the coffee machines full, brewing coffee, etc, prepping everything for the next day, baking muffins, etc. and - prepping breakfast sandwiches for the morning and refilling the baked goods. Also putting stock out when they get new stock in. On top of that John works his magic as an ear for anyone having a bad day and talks with the customers making them feel like family and turning many one time customers into regulars. I have seen it happen in person. John has a special way of interacting with customers to make them want to come back over and over again. So you see there is more to a cashier closer job than just ringinging up customers.

The town pantry is not permanently closed. The just no longer keep it open late because its not worth the cost of running the business when only a few people come in after 9:30. Johnny needs time to close down the store as well. He cannot have anyone in the business when he is cashing out the store for safety reasons. Thank you for your understanding. (Sometimes when I would hang with johnny after 10pm when it was open late only 2 people would show up in the 3 hours they were open) aside from myself.) Apologies for any inconvenience. )
