Spring crafting + wine + a gorgeous winery backdrop? A pretty ideal combo.

Join me at Tumwater Vineyard on May 26 at 5:30pm for a DIY Rainbow Workshop where you’ll create your own colorful macrame rainbow while relaxing at one of the prettiest spots around.

Let's slow down, get creative, and make something with our hands while sipping wine and overlooking the vineyard. No pressure. No experience needed. Just a fun night out with friends, creativity, and a little color therapy.

I’m the kind of person who wants to do all the things. Be part of the boards, join the groups, try the ideas, stay in the know. Part of that comes from always being someone who enjoys being busy (I’ve spent most of my career juggling two jobs at a time), & part of it is just that I’m genuinely interested in a lot of things. Different spaces fulfill different parts of me & I ❤️ that.

A Branch & Cord is still, & always will be, my work priority. But over the last several months, I’ve allowed other parts of life to share space with it.

6 months ago I stepped into the volunteer role of Communications Manager for . With a 12 & 5 yr old in the league, I'm seasoned enough to have learned a lot in the league the last 6 years & I'm in place where I now get to help shape it's future.

Then in February, Reformer Pilates came into my life. Wowee, I love it & have been taking classes 5x a week w/ . (Anyone who wants to come try a class, let me know!) Focusing on my health & actually sticking to a workout schedule feels amazing.

And fellow Portland Makers, did you you see my recent post about the vendor/maker FB group I started? *PDX Metro Vendor Buy & Sell* has over 200 members since I created it on Sunday. Find the link to join in my bio.

And for the newest hat, you can now find me in the store a couple times a week! I'll be helping w/ store merchandising, vendor relations & more. I didn’t realize how much I missed being part of a day to day community. It’s such a special place for me. One where my own products are sold in the store, where I’m seeing familiar faces constantly, connecting with local families, & being part of something that has been woven (see what I did there?) into my own family’s life for years (see that last pic!).

So, I share this with you because I have been more quiet on A Branch & Cord socials. It's not because I'm not in it 100%, it's because I've changed how I allocate my 100%.

I thrive when I’m challenged, inspired, & a little bit busy in all the best ways. And right now, life feels really full, in the best way.

Something new for my fellow PDX makers… If you’ve ever thought: “I know someone local has exactly what I need for my booth…” or “I have so many display pieces/materials I’m not using anymore…” Same 🙋‍♀️
So I created something I’ve personally been wishing existed:

*PDX Vendor Buy & Sell*
A Facebook group just for Portland area makers + market vendors to buy, sell, and swap:

✨ Booth displays + setup pieces
✨ Maker materials + supplies
✨ All the behind-the-scenes essentials we actually use

As maker and market vendor for 6 years, I’m constantly rotating through materials and display setups and I know I’m not the only one. There’s such a need for a trusted, local space that’s specific to small business needs (not just random marketplace scrolling). This is that space.
If you’re a local maker, vendor, or small biz owner in the PDX area, you’re invited.

It's spring market time!! Tonight has been so fun catching up with vendors and meeting new customers. Tomorrow, Saturday May 2nd, I'll be back between 11am-5pm at the Oregon Convention Center in PDX, Hall D. There are over 250 amazing artists here. Let me remind you that Mother's Day is next weekend and mom prefers something handmade instead of something generic from a big box store. 😉 Come support your local makers!

These are AI generated background photos with our rainbow diffusers. Both spaces are cute and aesthetically pleasing but it's our handmade rainbow diffusers on our custom defined packaging from that really make an area pop. Whether hung in a retail shop on display or clipped to a bundle of keys, our rainbows add that extra good vibe. Do you agree? 😍
