Three birthdays celebration the Duchesse, my partner and I!! With memorable wines. What a treat. Both wines did not need much decanting. not the best year but still very beautiful wine, hint of mint, red berries, smooth tannins. The Hundred Acre drank perfectly, and amazing to compare to the 2013 Ark I just had few days ago. While the vineyards are different the 13 was intense with coffee notes and almost overwhelming in a great way. The 2009 was surprisingly as good in a totally different manner, demonstrating finesse, complexity, smooth and silky tannins in an harmonie of aromas that blended like a perfect nectar! hint of cassis, blackberries, concerto of red fruits. Fun and delightful.

Interesting when you don’t expect much but this 2003 Pichon was really amazing, silky, cassis, eucalyptus, red cherries and more. A winner in my book!

Was getting bored and decided to open a@ this beautiful wine shows a lot of refine layers of red cherries, bright dark grapes and more. Silky and surprisingly enough great to drink now. that
