The wine is medium bodied with medium straw color and is slightly off dry as are most Kabinett level wines. Aromas of light petrol and stone fruits open the way for peach, apricot and lemon on the palate with minerality and ample acidity. The wine is pleasant for sipping and will pair with Asian, Indian, and Thai spicy dishes. Perfect with anything with heat!

ERIC’S NOTES

Germany produces wine from 20+ grape varieties including Pinot Noir and Chardonnay but is notable for producing some of the world’s finest Riesling wines. This wine comes from steep slopes on the Mosel river that requires manual harvest of the grapes. The vines are individually tied to posts and the soil is a thin layer barely covering iron-rich slate. Only Riesling is permitted. Brauneberg translates as “brown mountain” and Juffer as “spinsters”-three daughters who never wed and owned much of the vineyard.
