It was a very happy and merry Christmas gathering of the whiskey club this week! The star of the show being the Jameson 18 Year Bow St. We celebrated the winter solstice with the Grainstad an Gheimhridh from the Wheel of the year series out of . And with Pio in attendance, I had to bring out a little peated sample with the Micil Long Walk. Then we were having so much fun and it *is* Christmas so I pulled out the Clare Island as a special treat! Sure, who can be sad with such great friends and such great whiskey?

Not sure if there are many better ways to ring in the holiday season than with an award winning single malt from Louise McGuane at . Like a sweet jasmine blossom in a glass. We were also very impressed with the Fercullen Falls small batch from and Paul Corbett. What a nose on that! And then a little sherry bomb from McConnell’s for dessert.
