Our tasting event with Maine’s own Run Amok Meadery is officially underway at Main Street Provisions! If you're nearby in downtown Waterville, come on in, say hi to the makers, and enjoy a sample from their incredible lineup of small-batch meads.

Today’s Spooky Sip of the Day: "Persephone’s Chains" 🍷

Naturally, tonight’s featured bottle is Persephone’s Chains, a lush pomegranate mead with a mythic seasonal story.

The Story: According to Greek mythology, Persephone was bound to the Underworld for six months of every year after tasting a few pomegranate seeds - bringing on the descent of autumn and winter.

Why It’s Perfect for this Weather: As the late-autumn chill sets in and days grow shorter, this 15% ABV pomegranate mead is pure liquid comfort. The natural, bright tartness of pomegranate perfectly balances the rich, velvety honey base, making it a warming, deeply satisfying pour to sip on crisp, chilly nights.

Countdown to Halloween: Spooky Sip of the Day! 👻🍷

We had such an absolute blast seeing everyone at Nightmare on Main Street over the weekend! Thank you to everyone who stopped by in costume. Downtown Waterville was full of life and incredible energy!

Speaking of costumes... when this amazing couple walked up looking so sharp in their vampire-vampy attire, we had to snag a photo - especially because it matched today’s featured brew so perfectly!

All week long, leading up to Halloween, we’re highlighting some of our favorite spookiest, dark, and autumnal beverages in the shop!

Today’s Featured Sip: "Hellflower" by Bellflower Brewing 🥀

Brewed in Portland, Maine, Hellflower is a West Coast-style Red IPA sitting at a devilishly fitting 6.66% ABV.

The Look: Pours a stunning, vibrant blood-red color in the glass (thanks to a touch of real beet juice!).
