Warning Signs Of Heat Stroke
Heat stroke is very serious, even deadly, and requires emergency medical treatment. Warning signs of heat stroke may include red, hot and dry skin, little or no sweating, rapid strong pulse, throbbing headache, dizziness, nausea, confusion, loss of consciousness, and body temperatures of 104 degrees F or higher. Call 911 immediately if someone is experiencing these symptoms. While waiting for help, try to move them to a cool place. Cool the body using wet cloths, misting, fanning, ice packs or a cool bath. If the person stops breathing, begin CPR until help arrives.
